REVISED PROCEDURE FOR INSTALLATION OF SOLAR WATER

HEATING SYSTEMS (SWHS) IN H.P. DURING 2011-12

Following is the detail of Solar Water Heating Systems which can be installed in H.P.

Type Tentative Area of 100 Litre per day (LPD)

Flat Plate Collector (FPC) type 2 m²

Evacuated Tube Collector (ETC) 1. 5 m²

For calculation of area in case of ETC type Solar Water Heating Systems , MNRE approval for
No. of tubes required for different capacities in LPD appearing in Annexure A . Test report
of MNRE approved test Centre will be considered for the calculation of minimum area.

2 CAPITAL SUBSIDY

Capital subsidy on above is limited to 60 % of the bench marked cost of solar water heating
systems from Ministry of New and Renewable (MNRE) , Govt. of India under Off - Grid
and Decertralized Solar Applications of Jawaharlal Nehru Solar Mission (JNNSM) for non-
commercial users and for commercial users it is 30 %. Following is the detail:-

3 INSTALLATION

These systems can be installed through HIMURJA as well as in MARKETING MODE mode on
net of subsidy as under:-

3(ii) INSTALLATION IN MARKETING MODE

In marketing mode 24 No. firms have been approved and registered by HIMURJA for the
installation of Solar Water Heating Systems in the State strictly as per MNRE specifications
on net of subsidy basis subject to adherence of standard Terms and Conditions .

Interested beneficiaries may get installed Solar Water Heating Systems (SWHS)
from HIMURJA or from registered firms up to their satisfaction. The subsidy will be
claimed by registered firms from HIMURJA as per Annexure B, C & D.

HIMURJA will release the subsidy to the registered firms in case of net of subsidy
or to the individual beneficiaries after receipt of requisite documents duly verified by
concerned project officers of HIMURJA and sanction of subsidy from the MNRE.
