Jane Doe, MSN, RN

Nurse Recruiter
Jackson Memorial Hospital
1005, 1611 NW 12th Avenue
Miami, FL 33136

Dear Mrs. Jane Doe,

As a highly motivated graduate nurse from Miami Dade College School of Nursing,
please accept the attached resume as an application for one of the new nurse positions
advertised on the Hospital Website. I understand that Jackson Memorial Hospital is one
of the top hospitals in the state that provides opportunities for new graduate nurses,
like myself, to participate in a 12- week orientation program with a preceptor. After
speaking to various employees, who participated in the orientation program, I drew the
conclusion based on the consensus, that your orientation program allowed them to
improve their skills, and build their confidence as registered nurses.

While being a student nurse, I gained an incredible amount of confidence, and became
increasingly competent during my experience in the Intermediate Care Unit in Jackson
Memorial Hospital. During my practicum, I had the opportunity to practice many skills
such as IV placement, blood draws, tracheostomy care, and administrations of
medications in different forms. I have been more than fortunate to have had the
opportunity to be mentored by outstanding registered nurses, who guided me in
building a strong foundation of nursing, especially focused on patient-centered care,
and critical thinking. My greatest strength is having the ability to collaborate with
patient, families, and all those in the healthcare team, with a positive attitude, in effort
to provide the upmost quality of care. I also am proficient in communicating clearly and
effectively, which allows me to help deliver the best care possible. I believe that if I am
given the opportunity, I will show that my professional values will align well with
Jackson Memorial Hospital’s mission and vision.

I appreciate you taking the time to review my application and resume. I am excited to
hear back from you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at
(305) 748-0371.
Sincerely,
Christine Borges
