Title: Cloning Argument Essay

Did you know that cloning, which many people do not approve of, can have many Commented [1]: Also, Limie, you might give a short

benefits that could help society? Artificial Cloning is the science of creating a clone, which is an

identical copy of an organism, by using the organism’s DNA. Cloning helps a lot of global issues

that are affecting our world greatly right now and should be used more to help our world. In this Commented [2]: In this essay, I will ....(subtopics)

essay, I will talk about the 3 main reasons of why cloning is good for our society.

The first reason why cloning is useful and good for our society is that you could revive Commented [3]: Perhaps this paragraph could be a

about endangered/extinct species and what problems

has been supporting the work.” For example, last month, the species of a rhino called the White

Rhino, which used to be one of the very common species of rhino, was becoming endangered,

leaving only a few males. Prof Millar had stressed that cloning would have “poor efficiency”,

because it would take a lot of resources and also could fail many times, with a chance of

accidentally killing the animal. However, many say that we should’ve at least tried the

experiment and not watch the extinction happen. Pierce, who was another scientist, said that

“There’s no avoiding it”, as in there is no avoiding the deaths and extinction of an animal

species, saying that it’s better to let it happen. Like so, people can use the science of artificial

cloning to help species last and be kept away from extinction, and help our society.

Another reason why cloning is useful for

our society is that you could farm better.

Agriculture is very important for our society and

keeping us alive, and cloning can be very useful

for that. People could clone more animals such as

cow and pig, which people eat, to help get a lot

more meat for people (and animals) to eat, using live cloning. Scientists can also clone plants, by

grafting. Grafting is when scientists (usually botanists) create branches off a cut branch of a

plant, to make a plant identical to the base, with all the fruits and leaves. The practice of grafting

can be traced back 4,000 years to ancient China and Mesopotamia . By grafting, people can Commented [6]: This sentence belongs in your lead

make a lot more fruits and vegetables and other edible plants to eat as well as the meat. Thus,

cloning can be used for better agriculture and create more food for humans to eat, and help our

society’s future.

The last reason why cloning can be useful for our future is that we could use it to cure Commented [7]: Very clear paragraph. This sounds
like a very convincing argument. Maybe you can give
an example of a particular disease or injury that can be
humans and animals’ diseases and injuries. Therapeutic cloning is a type of artificial fixed with therapeutic cloning.
Commented [8]: Ok!

with the clone. It doesn’t cost as much as live cloning and doesn’t have many negative things

about it. Unlike reproductive cloning, it doesn’t increase the population or create lives, it just

heals. Therapeutic cloning has already kept many organisms from death, like mice and small

animals. If we use therapeutic cloning in the future, we may be able to save people’s lives from

diseases and injuries, and there will be more professions of cloning. So, cloning can be useful for

the society because of therapeutic cloning, which can clone organs for people who don’t

have/injured them.

To sum it up, cloning has many advantages, and can be used for helping endangered Commented [9]: Your conclusion is a bit forceful,
almost as if your are thrusting your opinion on others?
