ASME Authorized Inspection Agency - Scope of quotation

1.0 Initial review
1.1 Initial review of the existing quality assurance elements suitable for the certification, e.g.
organization chart, forms, process descriptions, job instructions, calibration system for
measuring and testing equipment and calibration standards used.
1.2 Application with ASME for certification, co-ordination of the certification process with ASME.
1.3 Introduction of the employees involved with the certification process and to the
requirements of the ASME Code.
1.4 Assistance in the selection of a demonstration item to be used for the audit
1.5 Drafting of a time schedule indicating activities and responsibilities required for the
preparation of the audit
2.0 Quality Control Manual
2.1 Assistance in the preparation of the QC Manual in compliance with the requirements of the
ASME Code and current organization and needs.
3. Introduction and Implementation of the QC-program
3.1 Assistance in preparation of a demonstration item including the required documentation to
initiate and control the production process, in particular:
- design and design calculation for the demonstration item according to
Section VIII, Division 1
- drawing
- material purchasing
- receiving inspection
- fabrication and inspection plan (traveller)
- welding documents, such as welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure
qualification records (PQR) and welder performance qualifications (WPQ)
- procedure for non-destructive examinations (NDE) and qualification of NDE personnel, we
(Level II and III according to SNT-TC-1A
-hydrostatic pressure test procedure
- preparation of Manufacturers Data Report
4.0 Pre Joint Review conducted by the AI and AIS,
4.1 Auditing of the implementation of the subjects listed under items 2 and 3 for compliance
with the requirements of the ASME Code and your QC manual.
4.2 Performance of AI hold points for the demonstration item.
4.3 Assistance in the implementation of corrective actions if necessary.
5.0 Certification (Joint review)
5.1 The joint review is conducted by ASME's designee and AIA’s representatives to verify
whether your company is able to demonstrate the application of the requirements of the
ASME Code
