Brief summary of research work:

My present research involves modeling for Monolithic converters, used as after-treatment
devices for removing pollutants released from the vehicular exhaust. Before their release
to the atmosphere the major pollutants are made to undergo catalytic reactions in the
converter. In order to improve the design of monoliths the experimental optimization
based on engine bench and vehicle test is expensive and time consuming as compared to
modeling. Numerical simulations help reduce the number of experiments and allow for
interpreting in detail effect of some parameters otherwise neglected.
