- I’ve altogether of 13 siblings and I’m the youngest of all.
- raised by maid, because mother died, and father travels.
- Like writing, and my first poem was written when I was 8. also wrote
short stories and poem collection later on.
- Motivation: reading the classical poetry of Kalidasa, brothers and
sisters.

Pratibha.’

schemes, which distinguished it from those of other artists.

- Though I denounced nationalism, I also vouched for the Indian


independence through some of my politically charged songs.
- I also supported Indian nationalists and publicly criticized European
imperialism.

- In 1915, I received knighthood from the British Crown, which he later
renounced it. I said that the “knighthood meant nothing to me when the
British failed to even consider my fellow Indians as humans.

Legacy
- changed the way Bengali literature was viewed, he left an

- Many of my works were made international,thank you to the translators.
- Lastly, thx that 5 museums were built for me.
