Jacksonville, FL, April 24, 2018 --(PR.com)-- CURA Health Management, a healthcare enablement
company with expertise in accountable care organization (ACO) management, announced today the
acquisition of Florida-based ACO Health Partners, a Medicare Shared Savings Accountable Care
Organization, from Citra Health Solutions.
Founded in 2012, ACO Health Partners became one of the first Medicare Shared Savings ACOs to be
built on a model of coordinated care that ensures efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The purchase of this
ACO both expands CURA Health Management's expertise and reach and brings a MACRA (Medicare
Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act) solution to the physician marketplace.
"We are excited to join forces with ACO Health Partners and its stellar staff with unprecedented
experience,” said Nicole Bradberry, co-founder of Cura Health Management. “As payment models shift,
we look forward to partnering with high-performing physicians and expanding the reach of this and other
ACOs. Our team here at CURA Health Management has some of the most significant experience in the
country when it comes to the ACO marketplace.”
Under the new arrangement, interested physicians who meet ACO Health Partners criteria, determined by
CURA's algorithms using Medicare claims data, will be invited to become a member of the ACO. In
addition, under a 2019 advanced alternative payment model, physicians who partner with the ACO by
August 31, 2018 will receive the MACRA 5% fee schedule increase for 2019.
“We are passing the baton of leadership to Cura Health Management and expect nothing but great success
from them,” said Scott Sanner, CEO of Citra Health Solutions. “We have made a strategic decision to
invest in our core business and continue to strengthen our technology and care services platforms. While
we will not be in the business of owning an ACO, we will continue to provide innovative solutions for
those that hold risk.”
