Regarding your question about promising career.

Indian general insurance industry today is after 110 years is still in it's infant
stages and poised for exponential growth. In a small developed country like
Singapore more than 100 insurance companies are working but in India till date
only 28 general insurance companies are working. Approx. 2–3 new companies
will open every year for at least next 12–15 years. This is only general insurance
industry. Including reinsurance Industry part industry will grow from 1.2 lakh
crore to 10 lakh crore by 2030 as per industry estimates. So yes it is one of most
promising career depending on the person, ambition and intelligence level.
Private industry pays high salary to senior executives but you will have to work
hard to get there. So best of luck.

As far as post of Administrative Officer of General Insirance PSU is concerned

please note that it has a very promising career , A person is eligible to apply for
scale 2 after completion of three years and if he has a long career he can move to
scale 6 or 7.The job security is 100%.The initial salary will be around 40000/per
month along with usual benefits.
