Reviewed invitation letter for contributions
Reviewed example of contributions.
Consider including table as appendix for applications with multiple techniques.
Provide quantitative detection and sizing capabilities if available (and if industry validated)
John Reynolds suggested that we don’t be limited to 1-2 pages, especially for commonly used techniques.
Group agreed that level of information should be consistent and master editor and make it uniform, and target 2-4
pages.
SME and master editor may provide relevant references.
Form letter should note that no copyrighted material should be provided
Fundamental physics of NDE method will be included in an appendix (if at all).
Structure: equipment versus damage type: After a great deal of discussion, general consensus was to start with
equipment category (and component type) and consider by damage mechanism where it makes sense.
Plan is to request data for all contributions based on new request form.
Show two full examples heat exchanger and piping thickness
This will be distributed one month before Fall 2016 meeting.
RFP will go out by end of May 2016
David did submit SR3 funding for RP586 for 2017 and 2018 funding.
JN will send out list of topic needs to all of today’s meeting by the end of this week.
