Proposed Corrective Action for Unsafe Condition

It is very important to clean up the laboratory after working hour so that the laboratory is clean
and in order. The messy laboratory has the potential to increase the risk of the accident. It has
to be kept clean to ensure the safety of ourselves and others who using the laboratory as well.
The floor has to be cleaned as the wet floor is slippery and may cause accident when workers
step on it. The slippery floor might cause workers to fall down and injured. Furthermore, the
wet floor might cause to short circuit as well if the wet floor is in contact with the wire of
electronic device such as fan. To solve for this problem, the spilled oil or liquid on the floor
have to be completely cleaned after working hour. To carry out more effective cleaning
procedure, sweep the floor first before mopping to reduce amount of the airborne dust. Last,
use vacuum cleaner fitted with high efficiency particulate air to reduce fine particles.
Besides, the warning sign can also be placed around the wet floor to warn the worker who use
the laboratory so that they will not step on it accidentally and cause the happening of undesired
accident.
