1.0. GENERAL

Purpose of this procedure is to describe the process to perform Coating and Wrapping
Construction Works of underground pipe for New Project PE at PT.CHANDRA ASRI
PETROCHEMICAL

2.0. OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this procedure is to establish the criteria for Pad Leak Test used in the
project follow the applicable codes, standards, and project requirement to ensure that
pressure test are conducted safely and effectively.

2.1 Scope

This Procedure covers the Pad Leak Test for NPE PROJECT
400 KTA NEW SWING PLANT HDPE LLDPE AND mLLDPE, Anyer, Banten.

3.0. REFERENCE

The following applicable section of the latest edition of standards, including addenda and
referenced documents project's specification shall form an integral part of this
specification. Where the requirement of the subject is defined by two or more references,
the more stringent reference shall govern.

4.0. DEFINITION

The following words and terms shall have the meanings hereby assigned to them,
unless noted otherwise.

EMPLOYER : PT. CHANDRA ASRI PETROCHEMICAL

IKPT : PT. INTI KARYA PERSADA TEKNIK

CONTRACTOR : PT. ARTHA TEKNIK ABADI

5.0. CONFLICT

If any conflict exists between this specification and other Technical Requirements and the
applicable codes and standards, it shall be submitted in writing to Employer for resolution.

6.0. USED EQUIPMENT LIST

For the implementation of the necessary pipe work testing tool as follows:

 Testing tools: pressure tools, pressure gauge, manifold and proper hand tools.
 Accessories: venting valve, pressure flexible hose.

7.0. TEST PRESSURE

Maximum allowable pressure test shall be 0.5 Bar.

7.1 Fluid Test

Pressure test by using air inlet connection in the pressure with a pressure of 0.5
bar maximum, then spray with soapy water.

7.2 Pressure gauge

 Pressure gauge that has been calibrated.

 A controlling must be conducted to explore the use of a pressure gauge and
re-calibration status.

8.0. WORK PROCEDURE

8.1 Pressure Test

1) After All visual Items clear, preparation Internal testing prior conducting official
testing.
2) Pre-Leak Test before Random witness by Owner, ATA shall be carry out
internal test and prior inspection by IKPT.
3) Testing in the pressure with a pressure of 0.5 Bar, then spray with soapy
water.
4) Acceptance

The area test welding be accepted is no leakage.

8.2 Application Documents for Certificate to Acceptance

1) Piping Leak Test Report certified by ATA Inspector shall be submitted to

IKPT as test record.
2) Records shall be made for each line or system. These records shall
include:
a. Date of test
b. Test pressure
c. Certification by Inspector

9.0. CONTRACTOR/ OWNER INSPECTION COORDINATION

Application for Inspection will be prepared by ATA to be submitted to the IKPT in a

minimum of 24 hours prior to the inspection
