Hello,
My name is Laurel Bilbo. I am a clinical instructor at the University Of Arizona, College Of Nursing. I
teach the adult medical surgical content and work with students in the hospital environment. It was during one
of these clinical rotations, that I had the pleasure of working with McKenna Foxworthy as a student. McKenna
has been passionate about being a labor and delivery nurse from day one, but soaked up all the information
available to her during our adult clinical rotation. McKenna has had a heart for helping others long before
nursing school. McKenna worked as an assistant director of a children’s ministry, was a piano teacher, nanny
and childcare worker. McKenna volunteered at the Red Cross and spoke at a high school to promote healthy
lifestyles and good life choices. During her clinical time, McKenna was a compassionate caregiver. McKenna
not only performed the needed care, but educated her patients about medications, procedures and the patient’s
disease process. McKenna recognized the importance of providing patient centered care and could see the big
picture of her assigned patient’s outcome. McKenna was always on time to clinical, very professional and never
absent. McKenna had a great smile and a bedside manner that put her patient’s at ease. I am pleased to
recommend McKenna for a position in your facility. She would be an asset to any unit she was placed on. With
her compassion and a deep interest in helping young families, she will make a great member of your team. I am
