training, and took part in a Virtual TeleHealth OSCE. The purpose of the DNP presentations was
to allow the DNP students to defend their doctoral theses, of which I was just an observer. The
purpose of the BLS training was to complete my recertification, of which I was a direct
participant. Lastly, the purpose of the Virtual TeleHealth OSCE was to help train DNP students
with the TeleHealth aspect of their curriculum. My role in this training was to act as an RN and
provide a physical assessment and pertinent history to the DNP student via Zoom.
Where was this held and what was was program/activity length?
The DNP presentations took part on 4/2 over Zoom, one on my computer and the other
on my phone. Each of the presentations took approximately 1 hour, which included the
presentation itself and then time for questions. For the two DNP presentations, I logged 2 hours.
The BLS training was on 4/6, took approximately 4 hours, and was held at an Eclipse CPR
Training center. In addition, the Virtual TeleHealth OSCE was held at the College of Medicine
Each of the professional activities proved valuable to my student nurse experience. The
DNP presentations provided me with motivation to complete my honors thesis, as they allowed
the students to present the research they had worked so hard on, which is something I now look
forward to doing myself. The BLS recertification allowed me to stay up-to-date with the skills
required in my profession. And lastly, the Virtual TeleHealth OSCE exposed me to an up-and-
