Positive Teacher Language

Student behavior should be redirected and reinforced using positively worded statements.
These statements should focus on the action, not the person. This language isn’t used solely for
correcting behavior; teachers should notice and state positive behavior as well. Noticing
language should be short, specific, and clear.

In my classroom
Positive teacher language will be used no matter what age group I end up teaching. It promotes a
positive atmosphere and relationship between student and teacher.
