1. Vote of Account:
Generally budget is not allotted till the month of May. Then an order is conveyed that 1/6 of
the previous year budget can be utilized in the current financial year, which is called Vote of
Account
2. Budget:
The Finance Ministry places before the Parliament under Article 112(1) of the Constitution an
Annual Financial Statement giving the estimated receipts and expenditure of the Central
Government for the ensuing financial year. This statement is also called “Budget”, is
presented usually on the last working day of February. The statement not only includes the
estimated receipts and expenditure for the ensuing financial year but also contains revised
provisions for the current year besides actual for the previous three years.

4. Revised Estimate:
Revised Estimates – are estimates of the probable receipts and expenditure for the current
