EXPLORATION:
Kidspiration should be open to a new page. Have students click on the blue arrows at the top of the page until they see
weather pictures. Instruct students to click on the weather pictures they would like to dress a person for. Students will
need to click on the picture once to insert it. Make sure students click on the page before inserting more pictures.

EXPLANATION:
Introduce the lesson by asking students about the weather today. Have them describe the weather. Record their responses
on the board. Explain that the weather helps us determine what we wear each day. Then have students brainstorm different
types of weather. Create a weather word wall using the terms students use. Discuss how different types of weather relate to
the seasons of the year. Once students have described different types of weather, have them list different activities they
could do outside during certain weather/seasons. Ask students to describe what they would wear to do the activities.
(Suggest shorts during snowy weather or a snowsuit during a hot day to see if students understand. Read What Will I
Wear? and Moley Gets Dressed for All Weather to students. Discuss why it is important to wear different types of clothing
in certain weather. Give each student a weather chart. (see attachment) Have students browse through magazines to find
pictures showing a variety of clothes and accessories. Have them cut and paste these pictures under the appropriate
heading. Discuss how we find out what the weather will be like each day. Explain the role of a metrologies. Visit the
following website to learn more about weather. Explore the site as a class. (Weather Wiz Kids)

ELABORATION:
After students have inserted weather pictures, have them find a person for each type of weather. Students may need to use
the same person more than once. After students have inserted the people, have them find the different clothes. Have
students dress the people for the appropriate weather. Teach students to click and hold down the mouse left button to move
