Would you like to know more about how to adjust delivered migration
objects with the migration object modeler? If so, follow this interactive
demo.

2
ADDING ADDITIONAL FIELDS TO A MIGRATION OBJECT

You want to migrate your bank master data in your S/4HANA System (on
Premise) with the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, but you want to add
an additional field to the bank master migration template provided by SAP
(for example if the relevant Microsoft Excel XML file does not contain all
the fields that you need).

In this demo, with the help of the migration object modeler, you will add
the field bank group to the delivered migration object for bank master data
.

The same approach can be used to adapt any delivered migration

templated provided by SAP.

(1) You have already created a migration project in the migration cockpit with the name
project bank migration. To view the delivered excel template for the bank master migration
object, choose Project Bank Migration.

To do so, logon to your SAP S/4HANA Backend System via SAP LOGON.

Under Target Structures, you can view the function modules (internal SAP
programs) that facilitate the transfer of data to the SAP S/4HANA system.
Each function module transfers data from a source structure to the
relevant target structures in the SAP S/4HANA system. Note that
structures can be single fields, multiple fields, or tables.

If a field from a source structure has been mapped to a target field, the
system displays a green icon beside the name of the field.

If a field from a source structure has not been mapped to a target field, the
system displays a red icon beside the name of the field.

By default, the system displays a descriptive text for each target structure,
or source structure for example Bank Group. You can also view the
technical names of the target structures.

To map a field from a source structure to a target field, drag the relevant
field from the source structure to the target structure field. The resulting
mapping operation is a simple 'MOVE' operation - that is, the values of the
source field will be moved to the target field. For more complex
requirements, you can use other rules.

To assign the source structure 'Bank Group' to target structure 'Bank

group', you need to drag and drop as shown on the screen.

Note: Drag and drop action is not shown in this demo.

After the drag and drop action the Bank group field from the target
structure is assigned to Bank Group field from source structure with Rule
MOVE .
