I want to start this paper by saying that I really enjoyed this class. Kingdom Life has

taught me aspects about the world like relationships, family, finances, and careers that I will have

to apply in about two weeks so thanks for the great times in class. It’s very easy to learn material

that is obviously essential for life. I have a more clear vision on how relationships, family,

finances, and careers operate.

Christianity was supposedly started back when Jesus Christ taught lessons to his

disciples. This was around the first century in the Hellenistic era which was dominated by

Roman law and Greek culture. The religion then became a major religion in the world.

Christianity has played a huge role on my life since I was a young boy. I have always strived to

be Christ like growing up. I completed my entire grading school without cursing or getting into

fights. I always prayed at night before going to bed. I am a firm believer that God son died for

our sins back when the world was full of it.

The fact that there are thousands of religions similar to Christianity has shocked me as I

became older. These religions believe in the same concept but might practice certain things

differently. Certain aspects were added and taken away by man to work in their favor. This has

been such a big controversial subject that most schools or people discuss it. This is also seen in

important stories taught in history class in grading school.

Christianity has also been practiced by some of the most destructive people in history.

These people have destroyed nations and refused to restore them. This also confused me. There

are also various versions of Bibles that changes or alter words that give certain scriptures

different meanings. This in fact frightens me. Every religion seems to prove their point that their

religion is the true and only way to be. I figured that God would not put so many religions on

Earth because this cause so much confusions. This is the work of terrible men. I also realize that

some churches uses their religion to profit from. Many churches are huge. These churches take

up several blocks in some cities but does not care for many homeless people.

I’ve also learned that previous empires used religion to control large amount of

individuals. Many nations have put their own touching to portray certain things to work to their

advantages. Many have offered certificates that ensure your acceptance into heaven. The bible

simply states that the only way into heaven is through his son. This led me to believe that

everyone should do their own research and grasp your own understanding because God made

everyone different and special.

If we all have specific purpose then it would make sense that certain people will receive

messages that others will not. You have to be serious and have faith. I personally think religions

is not required to be Christ like or to be God child. You must have faith and practice certain

behaviors that God has asked of us. The son of God mingled with some of the world’s most

shameful and sinful people because he knew that the only difference was the fact that the devil

had did incredible work in these peoples life.

This make perfect sense when you consider that certain people have different lifestyles.

Some people are put in certain situations to receive messages from God that might differ from

other people. My family never gave us a specific to believe in. We usually went to Christian

churches. We went to many other churches of different beliefs but the messages seem the same.

The only different to me was the certain things the religions practice. My parents did a

great job teaching me right from wrong. I am very thankful that my parents did not force any

specific religion on me but instead taught me the bible. They made sure we read scriptures every

Sunday on our own before going to church.

Most people I met that are religious can be very judgmental. They tend to look down on

certain individuals that do not believe what they believe in. We are all imperfect human beings.

The fact that you can judge someone based on religion makes you even more of an imperfect

human. Judgement is only God job. In God eyes we are all unworthy and bath in sin through our

selfish ways.

Let’s think about. People go through phases in life that leads to their finding. A person

can be in a stage that you think is the worse. God uses these times to get these people to the stage

he wants them to be in. God tends to chastise his children to help them understand the true

meaning of life. This is very similar to the behavior of parents when the child has misbehaved.

Instead of judging people you should try to understand and help individuals. You could even

learn from these peoples.

From my understanding, even the devil know the words of God. Just because he’s the

devil does not make the words false unless they are changed and made to deceive you. Most

adolescence do not grow up practicing their religions but can easily claim it because of influence

from others. This reminds me of Belhaven University. We all attend a Christian school which

makes it easy to claim Christianity but most of us are not practicing the laws.

Matthew 25: 14-30 (NIV) (The parable of the Bags of Gold) did a great job explaining

how you should invest what God have given you to produce greater seeds. You should not be

lazy but work hard to produce more. 1 Timothy 6:10 states that “For the love of money is the

root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced

themselves through with many sorrows.” You have to be careful. You cannot let the love of

money control you. America has the highest number of millionaires but have a very high rate of

poverty. This is a great example of greed and letting money influence you. There is no way

people can have homes that have 32 rooms when people in that same city are homeless. That’s

absurd.

I will work hard as possible to produce fruits that will benefit my family. I look at my life

as a sacrifice for the generation that will be made after I am gone. I Corinthians 12: 12-14 states

“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with

Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or

Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 even so the body is not

made up of one part but of many.” I will use all the powers God have giving me to ensure my

nation is better than what it has been. Most people live their life for themselves which can add

fuel to the fire of selfishness and greed. Jesus lived his life for us and in order to be Christ- like

you have to do the same.

It makes me sad to know that most African Americans family lacks a father in the

household. Parents’ bond must be as strong to protect their children. Most discipline problems in

today world is caused from discipline problems across the world. This has influence me to be sex

free. Before I feed my flesh and made many mistakes.

Your class has taught me to value the actual bond instead of the sex. This way I will

ensure that a group of children will have the opportunity to have the brightest future there is.

This is only fair. Babies don’t have a voice on when, where, and how they are born so adults

should do a better job on creating them the correct way.

I also have more confidence about my future career based on the assignments you

assigned to us to give us our strengths. These strengths can be used in everyday situation giving

me the upper hand. The career paper led me to the career that I have been pursuing since

freshman year.

I also believe that at any time this career path can change because God is in control. This

career path can be leading me to the bigger picture God has for me. Proverbs 3:5-6 states “Trust

in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways

acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

A lot of my friends are so caught up in pursuing careers that are more appealing to the

world. If you put so much into this it can become an idol. Instead you should do your best in

whatever you are doing and be open to God placing his hands and directing you in the direction

he made for you since birth. This is why I am not 100% sure about my major. I will continue to

do my best but stay cautious because God might have different plans then I expect.

I really am going to miss your class Dr. Smith. You taught me many things that will help

me in the real world. You even help me find out more about my family. This made my family

and me very happy. I wish you the best of luck in life the same way you wished it upon us.
