and answer the chapter two and three comprehension questions. (Questions are attached at the end)

Steps in the lesson:

The first step in the lesson is to have a brief discussion of chapter one including their opinions thus far and
questions they may have. Next we will get out our books and follow along to chapters two and three. Following our
reading they will fill out their character sheets. Next they will fill out the chapter two and three comprehension
questions. If they don’t finish in class then it is homework and due tomorrow.

Closure/Wrap up: This may be in the form of independent practice, a chance to share, or explicit restatement of the goals of the
lesson.
Working on the chapter two and three comprehension questions and character sheet.

Extension Activities:
Students may work on the interpretation questions to receive extra credit.
Assessment /Modification:
Specific Student/Group: For the reading of chapters one, the students will be read to aloud. For students who need
help with their questions, they can come to my desk and I will read the questions aloud to them.

Differentiation:

What will I differentiate? Structured vs. Open Readiness: For students who need a more structured environment I
have decided to have them work independently on their questions. This will reduce the noise in the classroom and
allow them to focus better.

How will I differentiate? I will differentiate for readiness.

Technology:

Computer & voice recording.
