DYNAMIC PHYSICAL EDUCATION SECONDARY LESSON PLAN

Lesson Plan 1

OBJECTIVES:
The student will perform fitness tasks that will help increase their heart rate, develop strength, and 
endurance by completing a variety of circuit trainng exercises. They will analyze and engage in these 
exercises that are appropriate and support each students achievement goals of personal fitness. Lastly, 
they will understand the benefits of working with their peers. 

EQUIPMENT: 6 cones, 6 circuit training signs, whistle, and hula hoops (10), two ropes/ string to make 
lines, Pennies for teams, small bean bags. 

INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES TEACHING HINTS
INTRODUCTORY ACTIVITY (3 MINUTES)
To get the children started I will introduce an  Have students run in line formations

FITNESS DEVELOPMENT (10 MINUTES)

Circuit Training Center #1:  I will place signs on cones to indicate different circuits. 
1. Bear walk Make three groups of students depending on how many

Students will have 1 minute in each animal training 
3. Donkey kick circuit. Music will be playing when they are performing 
the task and will stop when it is time for them to rotate.
Circuit Training Center #2:
1. Cardio workout I will have music playing accordingly for each interval.

LESSON FOCUS (10 MINUTES)
Students will go toe­ to­ toe with someone to partner up 
with and they will play catch with a bean bag. Each  Music will be playing to indicate when to stop. This
