ICT Getting to Know Korea 2 Event

The International Center of Topeka is holding the “ICT Getting Know Korean 2 Event”

on Friday, March 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Washburn Institute of Technology.

This Korean event is to educate people who don’t know about Korean culture and it will

include lectures, presentations, music, and Korean food, which are all for free.

Sangyoub Park, who is a professor of sociology at Washburn University, is the

coordinator for the event. He said he is passionate for this Korean event.

“We are trying to educate people and let them know about different cultures,” Park said.

“We’re trying to bring diversity into the community.”

Park will also give a lecture about Korean culture.

ICT Getting to Know Korea 2 Event

The International Center of Topeka has been dedicated to assisting Washburn University

international students since early 1970.

“ICT Getting to Know Korea 2 Event” will be held for the second time this year.

Last year’s event had a large turnout, but this year’s event is estimated to have an even

larger turnout.

The International Center of Topeka also hosts events featuring places like Columbia,

Japan, China, and others.
