Command View EVAPerf on multiple hosts to gain visibility to all EVAs.
• Storage Management Initiative Specification (SMI-S)—A standard interface
sponsored by the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA). SMI-S
enables HP and other storage vendors to develop products to a single
standard and eliminates the need for custom or manual integration of HP

HP Service Tools CD
This CD contains:
• WINDOWS\WEBES\KITS\WEBESV51BL106KIT1_Jan-3-
2008_Windows_x86_x64.exe, which installs HP Web-based Enterprise
Services (WEBES), a service tool that provides real-time diagnosis using
the HP System Event Analyzer (SEA). HP SEA is a fault analysis utility that
provides system analysis capabilities of hardware events ranging from
single errors or faults to multiple-event correlation and complex analysis
in addition to a traditional binary error log. It is designed to send local
notification using email or simple network management protocol (SNMP)
traps when events require a service action. HP WEBES must be installed to
ensure proper alerts for your EVA products.
• WINDOWS\ISEE\KITS\ISEEPlatform.exe, which installs HP Instant
Support Enterprise Edition (ISEE), a remote service offering from HP.
• /WINDOWS/OSEM32/KITS/OSEM1.4.4_IA32_Build12_19Septem-
ber.exe, which installs Open Service Event Manager (OSEM), a service
tool for that allows Windows systems to automatically send service event
notifications as email messages within their own intranet. Customer

managed systems self-report by running automated software agents that
detect and forward events to a designated customer service gateway.
OSEM formats the problem reports and sends them to specified customer
email addresses.
You can use HP WEBES as part of the HP ISEE remote service offering, or you
can configure HP WEBES to send only local (email) notification (to an account
that you specify). The email option is also available when you use HP WEBES
with HP ISEE. To make use of new EVA features, HP recommends that you check
the HP WEBES website to ensure you are running the latest version of HP WEBES:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/svctools/webes/ .
NOTE:
See HP StorageWorks Command View EVA release notes for the latest installation
and compatibility information.
