Ipmitool GETINFO6 ( Windows / Linux)
• Using GETINFO6 script to keep all logs and server informations
• MUST BE SEND TO TICKET to be analyzed
Pre-requisite: a Windows station ( under Vista or Windows 7, take care to permissions. It is recommended to open
the DOS window with 'Admin' rights)

In order to get all information, the EMM version must be 11.09.xx, at least. In case of older EMM version,
some script commands will not be executed,
so the corresponding information must be manually retrievied:
. Messages Log, by copy/paste of the web page in the SHC console ( generally the last 3 pages are
sufficient).
. Firmwares version: from the web page of the SHC "maintenance / FRU" , click on the "Get Identity
Card" button.

Usage:
There is a batch file named 'getinfo.bat' and the 'ipmitool.exe' utility. Copy these two files under a directory.
The batch file must be launched from a DOS window:-
- go to under the directory containing the two files.
- syntaxe of the command: getinfo6.bat BMC_IP@ user password PhysicalModuleNumber
example : getinfo6.bat 10.10.10.1 super pass 0 ( in case of mono-module
"PhysicalModuleNumber" is always equal to 0 ).

A directory with the name ' BMC_IP@' is created. It contains all files generated by the script.
Then compress the directory ' BMC_IP@' and send it to Support team.

Multi modules configurations:

In this case, the script must be executed for each BMC, modifying the IP@ of the module AND the module number.
