Background & Overview

• The key objective is to make students aware about career in Strategy Consulting
• Through practical application of consulting skills & live case simulation environment

• A guest lecture was being conducted for select group of students (~ 20) in the month of February 2010 on “Strategy
Insights & Logical Structuring”
• Key observation – huge gap between theory and application of strategy and insight development primarily due to lack
of Strategy Oriented Subjects/ Courses

• Key advantage:
• Insight development through practical application of knowledge
• Improvement of student deliverables
• Better placements and career enhancement
Theory

Application

• In the interest of quality of lecture & attention span the lecture subject to a minimum class strength of 25 students (per class)
• Students expected to be proficient in PPT & MS Excel
• Applicable for students from Marketing, Finance & Operations background/ specializations (preferable with prior work ex)
• Fresher's can also opt for the lecture

• The overall fees charged for the course would be Rs. 4,24,000/- (excluding OPE* )
• Cost of Air Tickets, Local travel to be borne by SIMS
• Other changes (if any – to be claimed based on actuals)

Fee Structure
• 10% of the total fees - at course inception
• 20% of the total fees – end of week 2
• 35% of the total fees – end of week 7 (submission of interim report)
• 35% of the total fees – end of week 12 (submission of final report)

*OPE – Out of Pocket Expenses (to be claimed based on actuals over an above the course fee)
Fees is charged on a per class basis (25 students/ class); number exceeding the class strength of 25 would be considered in other class subject to a minimum of 25/ class as
mentioned earlier (refer slide # 03)
