I will be filming in my Grandad’s house which is in the village of Marston Green. Around
his house are brick bungalows.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Note any health & safety issues that are evident.

One health and safety issue which is evident is tripping over the equipment such as the
tripod which is set up in the living room, as this is a high risk hazard and could result in
serious injuries.

ACCESSIBILITY

Describe any issues with accessibility to the location, particularly if location has to un-
locked for you. Can it be accessed by car?

There is no issues with accessibility to this location, as I will only be filming at my

Grandads house for the whole film which is a 10 minute walk from where I live and can
also be easily accessed by car.
FACILITIES

Location of Toilets, Food, Water, Seating etc...

As I am filming in my Grandad’s house, there will be a toilet available, seats in the living
room and water which I can have in between filming the scenes, as I am filming the whole
film in one day.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Note any permits that may be required, any disability access issues, will the police need to
be notified?

No permits are required for my film and the police will not need to be notified as I am
filming inside a house and there is no other issues regarding filming, such as disability
access.
 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Give a rough outline of the location from the perspective of each area listed below.

CAMERA NOTES:

JVC Camera, which I will hire out from college

Suggested Equipment:

Tripod- to hold the camera in place

SOUND NOTES:

I am planning on using the microphone which is attached to the top of the JVC camera to
record the audio, however if this doesn’t go to plan, then I will use my phone to record
the audio, so that I can then add it into the film.

Suggested Equipment:
Microphone on top of the JVC camera
Phone for audio recordings

LIGHTING NOTES:
I may use LED lighting when filming my Grandad depending on how the natural lighting is
inside the room, however I may not need it if the lighting is suitable in the room. I can also
change the settings on the ND filter and iris on the camera to change the lighting of the
image.

Suggested Equipment:
LED lighting- hired from college
Floorplan: Note position of windows, Plug sockets, direction of Sun at potential shoot
times.
