STAFF POLICY

BEHAVIOUR

AIM
The Playgroup aims to provide a caring and safe environment for its entire staff.

Staff should at all times provide positive models of behaviour for the children.

PROCEDURES

Each member of staff will be treated as a valued individual.

Each member of staff will respect one another.

We will respect one another’s cultures, race, religion etc.

We do not permit personal name calling, taunting or derogatory remarks.

We will give praise and attention to all members of staff to make them feel valued for work
well done.

Confidential issues will be adhered to at all times.

Staff should give clear messages to all children regarding behaviour.

Any disagreements between staff should be brought to the attention of the Manager. If it
cannot be resolved then it may be necessary to involve the Chairperson.

No mobile phones to be used in the Playgroup or on the premises except in the case of
a child who is home ill/relation in hospital or a family emergency.
