Being a history teacher intrests me so much because I love history, and I think with my
teaching experience I could succeed.
Being involved in forensics intrests me because I am very intrested in DNA testing and
solving cases. I could succeed in this because I was fairly good at chemistry in sophmore year.

1. What has been your favorite course(s) taken at Bowie High School and why? My favorite
course at Bowie isn’t really a course but in general all of my history classes have been
great. The history teachers all seem to care about you and want you to succed. The
classes are very intresting and not too boring.
2. What are three words you would choose to best describe yourself? Please explain why
you selected each word. I think I am dependable because I always make a huge effort to
do what I say that will. I think I am kind because I feel a lot of empathy for people who
are in less then favorable situations andI try to treat anyone the way that I would want to
be treated. Finally, I think that I am very efficiant in most things that I do. I am always on
time and always trying to get things done quickly and correctly.
3. Do you have/have you had a job? If so, where do/did you work and why? What have
you learned from your employment you may not have otherwise learned in the
classroom? No
4. Describe an event or activity (positive or negative) that has had a significant impact on
your life. How has it shaped the person you are at this time? An event in my life that has
positively shaped me as a person is meeting my boyfriend. Having his positve influnce in
my life has made me a more outgoing person who isn’t as scared to try new things and
meet new people.
5. Describe any significant challenges you have faced in your life (if any)? The chalenge
that I face in my life is trying to be more open to change. I really have found that I dislike
change and hate breaking away from routine in my life. My goal has been to try new
things instead of doing the same thing that I always do.
6. Discuss any decrease in academic performance or grade(s) you have earned that does
not reflect your true potential. The classes that were a struggle for me in my highschool
carrer was Algebra 1 Pre Ap and Geometry Pre Ap. I still made an overall B in the
classes but they were very tough for me.
7. Describe any special talent(s) or unique qualities that you have. I have synestethia witch
is a conditon that assosiates colors with letters when you read them.
8. How do you spend your summers? Your free time? During my summer this year I will be
working and hanging out with my friends.
9. What hobby or endeavor are you passionate about and why?I really like the club I am
involved in called Earth Club. I like to give back to the earth and love the activities we do
like gardening and voulenteering in clean ups.
10. What are you most proud of? I’m most proud of my academic preformance and my 3.7
GPA.
11. Describe a leadership role or any other significant role you have held. What did you gain
from this experience? A role I have held that involves leadership is my involvement in
Ready Set Teach. During this progam I aid a first grade teacher in teaching and caring
for her students.
