Assignment brief 6 : My internship research and motivation brief

I browsed through the SMART list and found three advertisements that spoke to me. The three job
advertisements I found are BMW Group Belux, SportswearAdvisor and Acció.

The first job advertisement I found was one from BMW Group Belux. The reason I chose this job
advertisement was that I would love to work together with the BMW Group Belux. I have an
enormous passion for everything that has a motor in it and I am a big fan of BMW itself because it is ,
a premium brand for premium customers. Also, I love to sell things. This company specializes in
import services for cars, motors, spare parts, and accessories in Belgium and Luxembourg. Moreover,
they are active in the retail of BMW.

The second job advertisement is from SportswearAdvisor. SportswearAdvisor is an official distributor

of the brand Macron. This job suits me because I am a very flexible person and I am business minded.
I am a sportive guy who loves marketing and sales. Sales is something that I have been learning since
I was 15. This is something that has interested me since I was little. Moreover, I am active on social
media and have the necessary know-how to connect this to marketing. Also, I am someone who is
very creative and likes to think outside the box. I like talking to people and especially about the things
I love. Being social and being able to talk with people is something very important for me.

The last job advertisement is from the company Acció. Acció is an agency that fits my desires because
it is internationally minded. They are searching for a person who wants to trade in the international
market and that is something I really want to do. Because of the different tasks, like finding partners
in the Benelux, preparing economical and commercial, I am very interested.

From these three job advertisements, there is one that stands out. If we compare these 3 job
advertisements, it is SportswearAdvisor that suits me the most. The other two job advertisements
are interesting too but they do not align with my desires as much as SportswearAdvisor.

Why did I choose SportswearAdvisor? Just because all the requirements needed for this job are
describing me. In this job advertisement, they describe 7 things that should suit you and it is just
fascinating how they suit me. With my background of commerce in my high school and currently
studying International business management in University college, I am able to start off strong. For
this job, you need to have knowledge about sales and marketing. This comes in handy because I
learned a lot about this in International Business Management.

Furthermore, my talent as a busy bee will be good for this Job. In this job, you have always
something to do and for a busy bee that is very interesting. Nevertheless, some requirements seem a
bit difficult. Therefore, I will need to get out of my comfort-zone and as a boundary-pusher, this is a
great thing to do.

One of my working points is that I am not that up-to-date with Adobe, which would be an extra asset
for this job. Also, I am not so up-to-date with the digital marketing. These are things I will have to
work on.

If I contacted the mentor for the internship at SportswearAdvisor, I would still ask him or her a few
question about things that are not clear to me. First of all, I would ask where the main building is
where I would have to work most of the time. Secondly, I would like to know what the working hours
are. Even though I am flexible, I would still like to know where and when I would have to work.

To conclude, I would really love to work for SportswearAdvisor especially because it is so dynamic
and because they give you a job based on your capacities.

Job advertisements:

1. BMW Group Belux - BMW Motorrad Belux

BMW Motorrad Belux is als invoerder van nieuwe motorfietsen verantwoordelijk voor verkoop van na-
verkoop ondersteuning in België en Luxemburg.
Met een 3.000tal nieuwe inschrijving op jaarbasis is BMW Motorrad Belux goed voor een marktaandeel
van +/- 25% in het + 500cc segment.
Naast de ondersteuning van verkoop en naverkoop activiteiten ontwikkelt BMW Motorrad Belux
verschillende ontwikkelingsprogramma's voor de concessiehouders en ondersteunt hen ook met nationale
en lokale marketingactiviteiten.

TAAKOMSCHRIJVING

Algemene ondersteuning verlenen bij de voorbereiding van het Brussels Salon januari 2017:
- Actualiseren van Marketing materialen (folders, flyers, prijslijsten, POS materialen, vouchers, ...)
- Verzorgen van de prijslijsten van de +/- 50 BMW motorfietsen die op de stand zullen te zien zijn
- Bijwonen van afdelingsvergaderingen mbt de Salonvoorbereidingen
- Actualiseren van demomaterialen Rider Equipment en accessoires
- Actualiseren van prijslijsten van Motorcycle Equipment en van Rider Equipment
- Uitvoeren van administratieve take zoals het opmaken van verzendbrieven aan het verdelernet, het
versturen van uitnodigingen voor de Pre-Salon training ...

2. Acció
Acció is het agentschap van Internationaal Ondernemen van Catalonië, het Catalaanse FIT. Met
Barcelona als hoofdstad, is Catalonië één van de meest economisch actieve autonome regio’s in Spanje.
Acció telt 36 vestigingen rond de hele wereld die advies geven en ondersteuning bieden aan Catalaanse
bedrijven die willen exporteren of internationaliseren. Daarnaast trekt het agentschap investeringen aan
naar Catalonië en bevordert ze innovatie via technologische transfers tussen Catalaanse organisaties en
andere organisaties wereldwijd.

TAAKOMSCHRIJVING

Voor onze vestiging in Brussel, gelegen in de Europese wijk, zijn wij op zoek naar een stagiaire voor het
departement internationale handel voor de markt Benelux.

Hierbij zullen dit jouw taken zijn:

- Je ondersteunt het team internationale handel met de projecten die lopen met Catalaanse bedrijven uit
verschillende sectoren (wijn, mode, ICT, farma, etc.).

- Je zoekt partners (importeurs, handelsagenten, distributeurs, etc.) in de Benelux en neemt contact op

met hen, telefonisch en per mail, in naam van het Catalaanse bedrijf.

- Je zoekt marktinformatie en maakt marktstudies.

- Je biedt ondersteuning bij de voorbereiding en opvolging van prospectiereizen van Catalaanse bedrijven
naar de Benelux en handelsmissies.

- Je bereidt economische en commerciële documentatie voor over de Benelux en detecteert

handelsopportuniteiten voor Catalaanse bedrijven.

Bij al deze taken krijg je de nodige ondersteuning van je begeleider.

De vereisten voor deze stage zijn:

- Je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands en hebt een goede kennis van het Frans en Engels. Kennis van het
Spaans is een plus.

- Je kan goed werken met Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

- Je bent proactief en gemotiveerd om je eerste stappen te zetten in het businessleven.

- Je werkt graag in teamverband.

- Je bent geïnteresseerd in internationale handel en bent op zoek naar de gelegenheid om wat je op de

schoolbanken hebt geleerd om te zetten in praktijk.

- Je bent bereid om op eigen gelegenheid naar Brussel te komen/ te verblijven.

3. SportswearAdvisor
Bedrijfsprofiel

SportswearAdvisor is officiële verdeler en distributeur van het sportmerk Macron. Naast textiel, zijn wij
ook bezig met de ontwikkeling van nieuw sportmateriaal. Het distributiecentrum van dit bedrijf bevindt
zich aan de afrit Erpe-Mere

Jobomschrijving

Een jong bedrijf, SportswearAdvisor, is op zoek naar een gedreven student communicatie & marketing
die samen met het team mee in wil staan voor de opbouw en uitvoering van het off- en online
marketingplan.

De inhoud van het takenpakket kan flexibel ingedeeld worden volgens kennis en interesses van de
kandidaat.
