FLOWMETER CONSOLE

MODEL 7500

System Description

The Accusonic Model 7500 Flowmeter

offers the latest available technology for
reliable precision flow measurement over a
broad range of large pipe and open
channel applications. The Model 7500
provides flexible configurations for flow
monitoring in pressurized pipes, pen-
stocks, low-head hydro intakes, open
channels, and conduits that flow from
partially full to surcharged.

A single 7500 Flowmeter Console may be

used to measure flowrates in more than
one conduit, and the system may be
expanded with the addition of Remote
Flow Transmitters to simultaneously
monitor flowrates in up to 16 separate
pipes or channels. Flow measurements in
pipes sized from 1 ft. (0.3m) to 60 ft. (18 7500 NEMA 4 Enclosure
m) can now be accomplished more
economically than ever before.

The Model 7500 system utilizes the Model 7500 Features

multiple parallel-path acoustic transit-time
technique, an absolute flow measurement
♦ Continuous Flow Measurement, Recording, and Data Display
method capable of achieving high glowrate
accuracy under difficult metering condi- ♦ Multiple-Pipe Flowrates and Flow Totalization
tions. Ultrasonic transducers are ♦ Full-Screen Display Options
mounted in pairs that define acoustic
paths across the flow profile. An average ♦ User-Selectable Displays

transit-times for accoustic pulses moving
in upstream and downstream directions. ♦ Components Available for Class 1, Division1, Group C, D
♦ Automated Self-Test and Operational Diagnostics
Flowrate is calculated in the Model 7500
♦ Auto Gain Control for Superior “Dirty Water” Performance
via full profile integration of the flow
velocities measured for each acoustic
path. For flow measurements in sur- Outputs
charged pipes, accuracies to within ±0.5%
of true flowrate are achieved. Model 7500
