This newspaper article talks about raising the minimum wage to help workers provide the
things they need as the cost of living increases. The cost of living is continuously
increasing over the year and so should the minimum wage. Those whom are paid the
minimum find it hard to buy even the basic of things and or forced to shop at extreme
discount store.
This is a good resource because it says that increase the minimum wage won’t bankrupt
business . This related to the topic of the president decreases the amount of taxes that
businesses have to pay in order to pay their workers more. Decreasing the tax pay does

This newspaper article explains the alternative option of getting better pay in New York.
There are about 1,500 workers who have pledged to contribute $13.50 a month towards
this nonprofit/nonunion organization. The organization pushes for not only higher pay but
for other issues too. Things like affordable housing, immigration reform, better police-

ways to help those who fight for what the want. Unions can only help but so much
because there isn’t enough funding put into them. This connects to how there is a larger
issues on workers being paid minimum wage. There are too many large businesses and
companies who pay their workers the bare minimum because they are so money hungry.

This newspaper article talks about how minimum wages is just that, the minimum. There
was a campaign that started about three years ago called the Fight For 15. There are too
many full time adult workers living under the poverty line. People who work for
minimum wage struggle to even get to work due to lack of transportation. As the cost of
living rises many workers are left trying to make ends meets.
This relates to the topic because you can’t expect to grow a strong economy when there
are people who who struggle making minimum wage. Creating a fair minimum wage
would give those people a chance to progress along with everybody else making suitiable

In the past few years democrats have came to an agreement to push the national
minimum wage to $10.10 from $7.25. Along came the movement of the fight for $15
which has succeeded in some states but other feel it’s too high. Every state has a different
