Answer the following questions:

a) When people are nervous, they frequently speak too quickly.

b) What does it mean to be vulnerable?

By showing others that you’re human, people can relax and better
connect with you. Open up and be willing to give your audience the
chance to get to know you, the real you. Show them that you are
human just like them.

c) Should you use a lot of “big words”? Explain.

No, you have to be sure to use only words and terms that your
audience will understand.
d) The article suggests to tell your most interesting story/fact:
immediately
in the middle of the presentation
at the end of the presentation
e) If you plan to share detailed information, you should give your audience a
report or handout.
f) True or False: Audience dialogue is an interruption and you should avoid
it/stop it. False, Is good if you allow audience members to ask questions.
Organize group discussion and encourage feedback will keep your
audience engaged and involved throughout the presentation.

g) Summarize in your own words the author’s advice for using jokes in your
presentation.
The jokes should be fun and maintain a professional tone, but do not be
offensive. It is never good to make a joke about a group of people with
different cultures with different ideologies or even different sexual
preferences.
