How did you feel about TP today/this week?

What areas are you focused on and what progress

have you made? Explain.

This week in my teaching practice I focused on teaching science for the students also I focused on
managing the students behavior whether in the class or not in the class. The progress that I have
made is that I was able to communicate with other students from grade 4 which is a good thing for
me as a teacher to have a good relationship with the students.

What duties / activities did you carry out during the school today? Critically Reflect: Did you feel
that you did a good job?

On Thursday, the school had international day and in this day I helped miss Alisja to monitor the
students to go down stairs and celebrate the international day, and I was keeping an eye on the
students because miss Alisja was representing her country and she was busy so Asma and I
monitored the students during the day. And I felt accomplished about it because I was able to
monitor the students and gaining the students respect at this point.

What was the most interesting science activity or strategy you saw? Why did you think it was
interesting and worth noting/remembering

This week, I didn’t observe any new strategy or science activity because Asma and I were teaching
and miss Alisja didn’t had any science lesson with the students. But still the best thing was that they
use STEM strategy in their science lesson to improve the students skills.

What did you try out? Was it successful? Why/why not? Which TP competencies do you feel you
achieved and which do you think that you need to focus on next time?

I tried out to monitor the students in the celebration, and it went well because the students were
listening to me and following my instructions and I was able to manage their behavior while the MST
was busy for some reasons.

What was the most important thing you learnt about students or teaching science today? Can you
think of any way you could better engage students in any activity you saw today?

I think that the most important thing is that the teacher have to provide more engaging activities
especially for older students such as grade 4 because the students at this age like to have challenging
activities that they will think about getting out the answer also having creative activities where the
students will have to create something new.

that you feel you could improve upon. Discuss ways in which you could improve this.

I think that I should be focusing on time management in a way that I can have a certain time for each
activity, to cover up every LO for the lesson also I should warn the students about the time for each
activity and motivate them to finish their work so we can have the time to do the other activities and
making the lesson flow.

What are your agreed responsibilities for your next day/week in TP? Be specific
I agreed about teaching grade 3 a science lesson next week, to have different strategies and new
skills in how to teach the students a science lesson. Also I will be working on my time management
during teaching grade 3 with miss Megan.
