BASIC INFORMATION
BOOTH CLEANING Booth cleaning & trash removal/porter service must be ordered
PORTER SERVICE separately through the Massachusetts Convention Center. Please
reference to the Other Services section of this manual for order information.

EXHIBITOR/ADVERTISER This lounge is available to both exhibitors of IBSS/SPA and


LOUNGE INFORMATION advertisers of SeaFood Business Magazine. At the request of
exhibitors and advertisers, no guests are permitted. Please use this area to
relax, view the floor plans for the following year or talk to a salesperson
about booth space.

EXHIBIT DESIGN Carefully design your exhibit display to attract buyers. Use colors
that compliment show drapery and carpets. Well designed
graphics and display items will attract visitors initially; however,
your exhibit personnel must keep their attention to make the sale.
Please refer to the Rules/Regulations section of this manual for display
regulations regarding booth designs.

EXHIBITOR All exhibitors will receive an International Boston Seafood Show &
EVALUATION Seafood Processing America Exhibitor Evaluation the week following the
show. Your cooperation in completing and returning this survey will help us to
improve the show and will serve as an information link between exhibitors and
Show Management.

EXHIBIT MOVE-IN The move-in schedule is included in this section under the Event Schedule
document. Additional information including specific instruction for
privately owned vehicles (POV’s), common carriers, and labor rules are
included in the Shipping/Delivery/Labor section of this manual under the
Shipping & Installing Your Exhibit document.

EXHIBITOR SERVICE Each exhibitor will receive a link to the Exhibitor Service Manual.
MANUALS Co-exhibitors are not sent a link to the manual. If you have a
company that will be sharing your space, it is your responsibility as the lead
company to make sure they are aware of all rules and regulations.

FLOOR COVERING Carpeting or other suitable floor covering is required in all


booths. Exhibitors may supply their own carpeting or rent it from
Freeman.

ICE Show Management will supply complimentary ice on a daily basis. For
more information regarding ice please refer to Ice document listed in the
Other Services section of this manual.

PERISHABLE There will be ample refrigerator and freezer storage space for all
PRODUCT STORAGE perishable products. You do not need to order storage space. It will be
provided automatically, at no charge. If you are shipping your perishables,
be sure to use the “refrigerated” and/or “frozen” labels provided in the
Shipping/Delivery/Labor section of this manual. Include your booth number
on the shipping label to ensure that those cartons are placed in the

PERISHABLE appropriate reefer units. If you will be carrying perishables to the show in a
privately owned vehicle, simply bring perishables to the reefer area and
someone will show you where to store them. Note: All Perishables that
are not labeled will automatically be placed in the freezer units.

SECURITY 24 hour security service will be maintained in the exposition area


from the initial move-in period until the last piece of freight is
removed. However, exhibitors are reminded that they are
responsible for the protection of their own product and exhibit
materials.

SERVICE COSTS Order all services by the published advanced deadline to insure timely
installation or delivery on-site. Reference the Exhibitor Action Checklist of
this manual for a listing of upcoming deadlines.

SHIPPING EXHIBIT You have two options:


MATERIALS 1.) Ship to the local Freeman warehouse in Braintree where they will store your
materials for up to 30 days prior to the show (60 days for International and
Canadian exhibitors).
2.) Send your shipment directly to the Boston Convention & Exposition Center
during exhibitor move-in hours.

Rates and deadlines for both options as well as information on shipping


companies and customs clearance are included in the
Shipping/Delivery/Labor section of this manual.

SHOW COLORS International Boston Seafood will be decorated with blue & white drapes on
the back wall with blue sidewalls and black aisle carpet. Seafood
Processing America will be decorated with teal back wall & sidewalls drapes
with black aisle carpet. Changes in drape patterns and colors are not
allowed.

SHOW MANAGEMENT Diversified Business Communications will maintain a show office


OFFICE where Show Management may be reached from move-in, throughout the
show and during move-out.

TRADE SHOW Customers remember your exhibit for approximately 12 - 14 weeks


MEMORABILITY after a trade show. Plan your post show mailing or sales agenda
before you leave for the show and begin implementing your
program within two weeks of your return from the show.

TRAINING Potential customers are only a few feet away in the aisle; however, they will
not come to you without encouragement. Train your exhibit personnel to
seek out those who appear to be interested in your product. A successful
sales staff takes the initiative and uses creativity to meet the individual
customer's needs. Your trade show investment will be a success if your
exhibit personnel are motivated and enthusiastic.
