MEDICAL SERVICES CONTINUE TO EXPAND

Our Medical Services Continue to
Expand
February 2018 A portable USG machine was
donated by the China Foundation for Poverty
Alleviation (CFPA) to the Community Health
Post in Ghandruk. Staff at SPHMN assisted
with the organisation of the handover
ceremony. Our nurse Kamala Gurung went to
Pokhara for a week to receive training in the
operation of the USG machine. This was
facilitated by the Chief of the District Health
Office.
Hepatitis B Campaign
In July 2017 a screening and awareness of
Hepatitis B campaign was organised by
China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation for
a one month period. Out of 1,000 persons
screened 12 were found positive. SPHMN

Young Women’s Health
An awareness campaign was organized by
the “Days for Girls” at Ghandruk for young
girls. The girls were given health education

Finances

operating funds from one or two donors, to
whom we are very grateful. We would like to
ensure our staff and the community of
Ghandruk that we can continue to offer
support and build the medical services on
