actions, and you must understand that you have not lived a complete happy life, but instead, a
life full of regrets and the risks not taken. Every day I am more upset with your actions because
they do not reflect that you could live up to. You lived an old-fashioned life going to every home
of your patient, and do not even follow your own advice. I cannot believe you have become
anything less than what I thought you could be. I mean, you have spent most of your time with
me, and yet you do not find that as a signal. You are emotionless, incapable, and passionless.

have diminished you.] I do not understand why you do the things that you do. You go to learn
the newest European techniques to find that you do not even adapt into your work style. You do
not use your knowledge to its full capability. And that is why, your life has been a normal one.
Your life could have been extraordinary but you did not let it be. That is why it needed to be
ended so soon, and you will sure find out why,
I like to think that your life was cut short because it needed to be. She did not love you.
Fermina was not able to express these feelings to you, because she too also lived a life that
was mediocre. She truly did love not you, but Florentino Ariza. She only married you because of
your money and the reasoning behind her father not wanting her to be with nobody but you.
Lorenzo Daza, her father, thought he knew what was best for her, and understood that all she
needed was someone who could support her. But that is the least thing that you have done. You
have not loved her properly, and that has led to her downfall. Besides giving up her youth, she
gave up a love to satisfy her father and the people that she loved. She did not want to make
them upset and I see why now. The image of who you are, does not truly express your true
personality and character. Fermina wanted adventure, a love that would last, something that
was substantial. What you gave her pardon my language, was desultory, and that was never
going to be enough for a woman capable of being great. Therefore, you needed to leave her life
so she could live a life of pleasure. I have witnessed just that tonight. On the day of your funeral,
she cried for you, but the only reason why she cried, was because she was unable to cope with
the thought of leaving something that was always there. And you may be tossing in your grave,
and I do not mean to be harsh. It is just because I know I was incapable to tell you this, but now
I am. I saw Fermina when she seen Florentino after a long time of suffering and sadness. The
light in her eye sparkled and her sadness was replaced with happiness and longing. I watched
her from the tree outside her bedroom window, sobbing. However, she was not sobbing for you,
but for Florentino, as she missed him. She could finally be with him again, and it overcame her.
That is why your life was then cut short. That day when you saw your friend who
committed his brave act, I planned out your death. I left out of my cage and stood perched on
the tree, sitting waiting for the you. As you went to reach for me, you slipped because I loosened
the screwed from the ladder with my beak. I wanted you to have end your suffering of your
boring life. And leave to become something of more substance in the after-life. My apologies for
having it be this way. You deserved more, and I couldn’t give you that, and for that, I am sorry. I
promise to give you only what you deserve when we meet again. I will however, watch over her.
Take great care of your home, and leave the life that you created as something to be honored.
Because, people seen you this way, and they should not have to see you any other way. Your
life will continue to be seen as great. You were capable to be so much more, and I regret not
