In addition to this our one donor Mr. Shafiq ur Rehman donated 50 large packets of
Flour and Food items for 50 families and 10 liter water canes for 100 families.
We distributed these items in two villages near River Kabul and in one colony near
Saryab.
In this trip in addition to our regular volunteers, our professional friends were also
with us, who also funded a major part of this trip. A group of friends (like Mr. Aamir
Butt, Mr. Nauman Faridi etc.) who are managing http://helpingINA.org were with us. Mr.
Naveed Butt, Mr. Muhammad Asim, Mr. Khaqan Zafar, Mr. Shahid and Mr. Kashif
Majeed (Old ICBian) also accompanied us in this trip.
All these friends actively participated in all activities of distribution. We are
thankful to them and Pray that Allah Almighty Bless them with Best Reward for their
Niyyats, Donations and Physical effort (aamin).
4) Trip to Risalpur and Pir Sabaak (8th September 2010)
Alhamdulillah on 8th September 2010 my volunteers and I visited four schools of
Risalpur where the flood victims were residing. As those were the days of Eid-ul-Fitr and
needs of those people were diversified. Someone needed ration, someone needed
medicine, someone needed shoes and someone was in the need of shawl etc. So we
decided to handover cash amount to the people so that they may fulfill their needs before
EID. Also we had received the Sadqa-e-Fitr from different donors so it was a best way
and best time to pay the Sadqa-e-Fitr to the deserving people.
We distributed Rs.2000/family to 132 families in those four schools. In one
school there were 30 families and in addition to Rs.2000/family we provided them with
family size (4mX4m) tents so that they may move to their areas and start building their
homes. After this we went to a tent village in Pir Sabaak and where people were living in
miserable condition in tents. We distributed Rs.3000/family to 34 families.
