Course Description:
This course review much of what students have covered in their precalculus courses over
the last couple of years. It will focus on key concepts that students will need to be adept
at to allow them to further pursue topics in the Calculus course.
The course will prepare students for the Calculus course to come.

Course Objectives:
1. To acquire a foundation of mathematical rigor.
2. To develop skill using the mathematical tools of probability and statistics to analyze
problems involving uncertain outcomes.
3. To develop skill using the mathematical tools of algebra and trigonometry to solve
problems involving periodic motion, paths in space, vectors and complex numbers.
4. To develop analytical and critical thinking skills through investigative work.
5. To use technological tools to solve mathematical problems.
6. To practice applying mathematical reasoning to problems encountered in science,
engineering and other disciplines.
