PART I: PRAYER/PARALITURGY
I. PROCESSIONAL
(Start from the entrance…then proceed to their respective seats)
Commentator:
Today we honor our BSBA, BSA, and BSIT Seniors who will soon enter the Professional
life. They are faced with the challenge to go out into the world of professionals nourished with
Paulinian values, they find their source of hope and strength in the Word of God. We remain
standing for the enthronement of the Holy Bible.
V. OPENING PRAYER
Heavenly Father, you have created us for a specific purpose. Thank you for the
gift of life and love you have shared with us throughout our academic years. Thank you
1
for all the people who made us believe in ourselves and in the goodness within us.
Grant that we will become instruments of your constant love and affirmation. We also
pray for your grace that we may be able to respond to Your love in every circumstance
of our lives and may you always lead us to the path that you designed for us. This we
ask through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Commentator: Let us all be seated for the reading. (Reader: Pauline Operiano)
A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Philippians.
Whatever gains I had, these I have come to consider a loss because of Christ. More
than that, I even consider everything as a loss because of the supreme good of knowing Christ
Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have accepted the loss of all things and I consider them so much
rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having any righteousness of my own
based on the law but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God,
depending on faith to know him and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his
sufferings by being conformed to his death, if somehow I may attain the resurrection from the
dead.
It is not that I have already taken hold of it or have already attained perfect maturity, but I
continue my pursuit in hope that I may possess it, since I have indeed been taken possession
of by Christ Jesus.
Brothers and sisters, I for my part do not consider myself to have taken possession. Just one
thing: forgetting what lies behind but straining forward to what lies ahead, I continue my
pursuit toward the goal, the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus.
Leader: For young people who are who are searching for ways to combine their
desire for freedom with a mature sense of responsibility. Let us
pray to
the Lord.
Response: LORD HEAR OUR PRAYER.
Leader: For our fidelity that we may be sustained by daily prayer and sacraments;
that we may be strengthened in our commitment to carry out our
daily duties and responsibilities as Paulinian graduates. Let us pray to
the Lord.
Leader: In thanksgiving for all the graces we received during our four years in
College and for our parents and mentors, for their loving support
and guidance. Let us pray to the Lord.
Response: LORD HEAR OUR PRAYER.

Commentator: The graduates’ pledge will now follow. All graduating students please

light their candles and give the light to their classmates. When all lamps are lighted, Rudgie
Dolar then leads the graduates’ pledge.)
VII. GRADUATES’ PLEDGE (Rudgie Dolar)
Leader: Heavenly Father, in Your presence and in the presence of this Paulinian Family,
we, soon to be professionals, are proud to face the world with dignity and
pride. We implore you to look on us with love as we make our commitment:
All Seniors: We commit ourselves:
To become God – fearing and Christ – centered Professionals, becoming men
and women for others, serving them with loyalty, dignity and integrity, without expecting
something in return, as we traverse into the business world, and our chosen field.
To become Paulinian Business Professionals who are morally upright, living the 5
M’s: maka – Diyos, maka – tao, maka – bayan, maka – buhay and maka – kalikasan,
and the 5 C’s : Christ – centered, charity, charism, commission and community, building
our success through patience and perseverance.
To live the virtues and values learned from our Paulinian roots, and becoming
good examples to all, in thought, word and deed; making a difference in our family, our
society and in our College of BSBA and College of BSICT.
Leader: (Irish)
Holy Mary, our Queen and Mother, to you we offer ourselves, our hearts, our
minds, our wills and our whole being. Keep us in your love always. Help us to be
good BSA and BSBA Paulinian professionals. Lead us to Jesus Your Son. Keep us
always in Your love and care. Amen.

(Presentation of Tribute)

PART VII. RESPONSE FROM THE SENIORS. Commentator: I’m sure that at this point in
time, our stomachs have all been satisfied with the delicious dinner and our hearts with the
tribute of the third year. Amidst all these, let us give the floor to the seniors for their tribute
for their teachers and their Class Will and Prophesy.
Seniors for their tribute for their teachers and their Class Will and Prophesy.
Commentator: Thank you dear seniors. A challenge has now been given.
Commentator: Much has been said and at this point let us once again give the floor to the
seniors as they give their tribute to the people who have stood by them, patiently
understanding and supportive of their dreams and their adventures, their parents.
Commentator: When the end seems at hand, we take a moment to reflect and remember
that these young men and women before us, were not the same people who first entered the
very gates of St. Paul University Iloilo. They had to face a lot of challenges in the four years of
5
their stay here in the university. They had to grow up in order to become what we have
envisioned them to be, CAB Paulinian professionals.
To you, our Dear Graduating Students, we hope that what transpired here this evening
will be your source of strength as you face another chapter of your life.
Commentator: May we call on Mrs. Aurea Alyssa Garrido, Associate Dean, to give her Closing
Remarks.
Commentator: May we all stand for the all stand for the Final Hymn.
My goal as a Paulinian is this: to proclaim Jesus Christ as the Good News to all
In response to the need for the total salvation,
From materialism, unjust structures and apathy
Through education and care of the sick.
Thus if life seems rough and the way is dark,
I will remember this goal: to proclaim Christ at all times like Mary and Paul;
For I believe what Jesus said: “ I am with you till the end of time.”
And so each day, as I travel on, I will remember that I’m a Paulinian
Committed to Jesus Christ, my Lord to love and serve one another,
Till in Him we unite.
