1. School History

The school Alejandrino Restrepo was founded in 1976. The Cooperativa de Caficultores

de Antioquia supported this institution building the structure of the school and donating supplies

for its functioning.

In 2002 the institution closed its doors due to wrong management, but in 2003 with the

support of La Sociedad de Mejoras Públicas it opens again its doors.

Since 2011 the school has positioned as one the best schools in the Suroeste Antioqueño

region.

2. Institution Philosophy

Mission: The educational institution Alejandrino Restrepo is a non-profit private

organization, that brings up the educational community in the academic interdiciplinarity

through a high grade of valuation of itself, allowing the integral development of the

human being, forming competent beings, reflexive, critics, with ethical and social values

that allow them an harmonical socializing in the society and the building of changes and

transformations in favor of life quality and a better future for everybody.

Vision To 2020 the educational institution Colegio Cooperativo Alejandrino Restrepo will

be acknowledged through the municipality due to its opening spirit from the inclusion exercise

through actions to generate, participate and promote academic, cultural and recreative spaces in

the region.
