Environmental
Intelligence
Agency Dear Mr. Ganjie,
Washington,
D.C.
For so many decades, we saw the global tiger population in the
wild decrease. Since our summit in 2010, we have seen an
increase in the populations of tigers roaming in the wild.
Although there is an increase, populations are not rising at a rate
 constant enough in order for us to reach our goal. Our next
Global Tiger Recovery Summit is on schedule to be held in
November of 2022. However, it is important that we ensure that
PO Box 53343 we are staying on track in order to fulfill our goal and that is why I
Washington,
am reaching out to you today.
D.C. 20009
USA

Background
 As you know, each of the 13 tiger range countries created their
own, unique recovery plan. There are inevitable human actions
that must be taken such as the expansion of cities into the wild in
(202) 483-6621 order to support growing populations. Although some may be
info@eia- inevitable, there is still criminal activity; we are still facing issues
global.org such as: disregard for tiger poachers, permission of tiger farms,
and the illegal trade is still managing to thrive.

 As addressed during the summit of 2010, past corruption of the

Chinese government has aided tiger farms to progress and
continue to thrive. Certain language in past plans have allowed
corrupt leaders to bypass laws set in place, and aid their own
www.eia- agendas. We acknowledge that you and your team have
global.org
attempted to close these loopholes by passing laws with more direct language that
support our aims.

Required Action
I am asking for the release of China’s most recent version of the Tiger Recovery Plan to
verify that past loopholes have been closed, so that we may present your plan to the
global board. One of the main focuses of the Environmental Intelligence Agency (EIA)
over the past year is ensuring that each government is taking the necessary steps to
end tiger captivity farms in their country. It is important for the global EIA to be able to
see what actions are being taken to put an end to tiger farms in your beloved home.
In your response I ask that you address the following questions:
1. What steps has China taken in order to crack down on tiger farming?
2. Since the last Convention, how have punishments increased for those caught
continuing to work in tiger farms?

In order to represent you to the best of our ability, we need to see that China has taken
the correct steps in the right direction. If the global board approves of your process, this
will in turn avoid global laws and regulations that may go against your country. These
laws could limit revenue for your country and cause a reduction in income from tourism.
A positive update can also avoid restrictions placed on China in terms of trade and
constant surveillance of wildlife.

I hope to hear back from you soon!

Sincerest Regards,

Anjolaoluwa Daodu
