Work’s Profile Regional Manager, Kangra Division (Himachal Pradesh)

Zoom Developers is Service Centre Agency to setup 18000 Common Service Centres Pan India under
Public Private Partnership. In Himachal they have to open 1300 CSCs in Kangra Division of
Himachal Pradesh. The goal of the CSC Project is to empower the rural community and catalyse
social change through modern technologies. SITEG, Himachal Pradesh is Nodal agency for project.

Job Responsibilities

• Incharge of whole Kangra Division comprising Kangra, Chamba and, Una Districts.

• Interface with the State Government and District Administration, State Level Designated
Agency, National Level Service Agency (IL&FS) and collaboratively work on improvement
of services offered and introduction of new services from time to time including aspects such
as service charges, collection and remittance, quality of service parameters, protocols, etc.

• Formulation of Action Plan for setting up of 1300 CSCs and its implementation. in a phased
implementation program with the requisite hardware and software.

• Identification of Village Level Entrepreneurs through tie ups with NGOs, SHGs, District and
Block level Administration, Private Business etc.

• Identify, collaborate and contract with Business to Consumer (B2C) service providers to
create and manage specific services.

• Assume complete responsibility for the managerial, technical, financial, HR, logistics and
other resources and ensure its viability, visibility and high quality of performance of CSCs.

• Provide regular reports and feedback to state Government/SLA

Achievements

• Established 800 Centres (Lok Mitra Kender) in 7 months out of stipulated 1300 common
service centres at gram panchayat level.
• Revenue Generated Rs.90 Lakhs in 7 months.

• 570 VLE trained Organised.

Bharti Foundation (CSR initiative of AIRTEL Group) was established with a vision "To help
underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential". Bharti
Foundation has set itself the goals of improving the quality of primary education for
disadvantaged children and to ensure education and training opportunities for youth to help them
achieve their potential. The project in District Jaipur aims at setting up of 25 Primary schools in
rural areas.

SARD collaborated with the Sri Gopal Paper Mill, Ballarpur Industries Ltd. (BILT), as part of
its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) implements the company’s CSR programme. The
programme was aimed at ensuring the well being of the Mill employees and the neighboring
communities
