Narrative - A narrative or story is a report of connected events, real or imaginary,


presented in a sequence of written or spoken words, or still or moving images, or both.
The word derives from the Latin verb narrare, "to tell", which is derived from the
adjective gnarus, "knowing" or "skilled".
It is usually being spoken by a narrator in which the narrator tells the whole context.
About how the story goes. From the setting, the color of the dress an actor is wearing to
the climax and the ending. It usually being told on different perspective but mostly on 3rd
person perspective
Descriptive – A descriptive is giving information about what something is like. giving
information about how something or someone looks, sounds, etcetera. It always uses
adjective words because it always describes things.
It describing or classifying without expressing feelings or judging. Denoting or relating to
an approach to language analysis that describes accents, forms, structures, and usage
without making value judgments.
It is sometimes poetic in nature in which the author is specifying the details of the event
rather than just the information of what happened.
Informative - Informational/ explanatory writing conveys information accurately. The
writer’s purpose is to increase the reader’s knowledge, to help the reader better
understand a procedure or process, or to increase the reader’s comprehension of a
concept. Information writing begins with the assumption of truthfulness and answers
questions of why or how. Writers draw information from what they already know and
from primary and secondary sources. They must select and incorporate relevant
examples, facts, and details.
Persuasive – Persuasive writing unlike informative writing contains the opinions,
biasness and justification of the author. It is a type of writing which contains justifications
and reasons to make someone believe in what the author believes in.
In persuasive writing, the author takes a stand and asks you to believe their point of
view.

Differentiate Persuasive and Informative


Informative conveys the information accurately. Its main goal is to educate and
inform the reader. To increase the reader’s knowledge based on a specific topic to help
the reader understand more a specific procedure, process or to increase the reader’s
comprehension on a concept it doesn’t add any authors opinion on the specific topic or
concept. Unlike Persuasive. Persuasive writings often inform their readers but it adds
opinions in between. The writer or author is responsible for the context he or she writes
inside. It may include biasness and justification of the author.
