The aim of telling students story during school time is recognize colors, and teach how to read
story in right way.

Where did the lesson take place?
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
What did the students do?
This lesson was for KG2-c students in Alkamal School. I taught the lesson in the classroom
environment where the students already learn in it. I tried to achieve in this lesson to control
whole class while I am telling the story on the carpet. I did as I can to take their attention by point
on some students to involve and be busy with the story. I prepared some activities on the story,
students enjoyed and I saw how they were interact with activities.

Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
How well did you engage the students?
As I noticed my MST doesn’t tell them stories, that’s why students listen and were quiet. In
addition, they responded because I used hands-on activities. To make caterpillar and let them
create. The lesson related to prior lessons such as: numbers and colors. So I connected the lesson
by reviewing the previous lessons. I engaged students by let students to be excited about the story
will be about.

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?
As teaching them, I have got experience how to deal with them and mange a whole class. Day by
day students motivate with me because of teaching them many times and help them. In this lesson
I achieved some goal I put before tell a story to them. For instance, to keep class managed and
control them as much as I can. And I felt I achieved that in the end of the lesson because the
feedbacks and overview about the lesson were as I accepted.

How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
What are the implications for your professional practice?
I will continue working on managing misbehave students. And explore for more activities with
high quality of learning. The implication of the lesson to me was good because I achieved to
manage them and I didn’t give up of trying control them.
