Thanks for your mail.

Please be informed that as per your request for amendment of L/C, we have
forwarded it to our Accounts Division for taking necessary actions at their end. It is mentioned in
Contract Agreement (Appendix-I-Terms and Procedure of Payment, (B) Payment Procedure) that
“Employer shall open the Letter of Credit (L/C) only for the payment to the contractor and not to import
of material by the contractor.”
So, it has informed by Account division to Project that According to this clause there is no provision for
materials import by using this L/C but only for payment. In that case, there is no need to amend the L/C.

In reference to above subject and L/C we would request you to kindly arrange to make following
amendments/
Additions in the following field of said L/C.
1.0 44C - Latest Date of Shipment - 14th October 2018
2.0 Kindly include LCA Number (Letter of Credit Authorization) in the letter of credit
The same is also advise by our bank vide their letter 5 Feb,2018 and attached herewith for your ready
reference.
We are looking forward to your earliest action in this regards and also request you to consider LC
Amendment
Date as effective date of contract.
