Introduction ....................................................................... 7
The problem for most people is they don't believe it is possible for
them.
The adage "seek and you shall find" remains as true as ever. If you
look for proof that achieving big goals, big dreams and living a life
of excitement and success is possible, you will find it.
And if you look for proof that life is difficult, big goals are impossible
to achieve, and success is reserved only for a select few—well, you
are certain to find that as well.
And producing results is no small task for the average person. That’s
why only 20% of individuals do what it takes, and the other 80% sit
and watch! What very few people realize is that successful people
are always pushing themselves, challenging their personal
limitations and becoming more skilled in many different areas of life.
Over the course of the next nine days, you are going to realize that
not only is success possible for you, it is also inevitable. An exciting
future awaits you. But you have to name it and claim it. Your journey
begins now.
The ultimate purpose of this course is to help you take bigger and
better action to move you towards your goals and dreams. It would
naturally follow that to get any value from this course you need to
start from the ground up and define what you want and why you
want it.
Very few people ever take the time to define this for themselves so
they never truly tap into their driving force. That is why we see so
many people living complacent lives, accepting mediocrity and
frustration instead of aggressively pursuing something that makes
them come alive. Because of this, it never occurs to them that they
should be stepping out of their comfort zone and trying new things.
Buy yourself a special notebook you can use to work through this
course. Something cheap and simple will do. But the notebook
should be dedicated to this course only… and later become a record
of your progress and the story of your dreams coming to life.
Old school paper and pen may very well change your life forever!
Studies show that writing out thoughts, ideas and brainstorms
longhand is significantly more powerful than typing. I believe there’s
magic in writing things down.
a) Allow you to appreciate what you are doing well and feel
successful.
b) Allow you to be motivated by the things you are unsatisfied
with, so you decide to make a change.
You need to know exactly where you are today at all levels of life.
Take some time now, to answer these questions in your journal:
What are you happy with and what are you unsatisfied with
regarding:
Health
Relationships
Money
Work
Passion/energy
Etc. (add anything else you want here)
For the results you are happy with, write down why you are happy.
For the results you are unhappy with, write down why you are
unhappy.
Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. On the left
side write your wants and on the right side write the corresponding
why, and imagine there were no limits and that you have an infinite
amount of money and time. Go big or go home as you do this
exercise. It takes the same amount of time and energy and thinking
power to dream small as it does to dream big.
If you want to doubt anything, doubt your own limits. You can always
stretch them beyond what your mind tells you is possible. One way
to reach this point is by taking ownership and responsibility for all of
your actions.
Along with ownership, you need to learn how to be flexible. Are you
currently willing to do things differently?
This means not being stubborn when something isn't working. Take
advice and attempt to change what you are doing. If you do, you will
begin to excel at more tasks, and this helps increase your
confidence and self-esteem. Becoming a flexible person means that
you are happy to respond to a situation in a different way. When you
are flexible, you are not rigid and set in your ways. ……………..
When you live a balanced life, you are focusing on those things that
hold meaning to you. At the same time, though, you are still mindful
of those around you. You make choices that are related to the way
you feel and what you are thinking. ………………………………...
Now obviously this isn't rocket science. But here's the problem…
plans very often fail. And if you blindly write a plan to correct
problems you have been perpetuating for years, you already know
what is going to happen (that's right…nothing!).
Fact
People with big, challenging objectives for their life will face a
mountain of work before they even come close to achieving what
they want. If you do not have a long list of comfort-zone-stretching
ideas to go outside of your comfort zone, then you have simply not
done enough to attack your goals.
For each of the major areas in your life, write down a major objective
and begin a brainstorm (it can be a simple list or even using an
online software like http://bubbl.us).
You have to put effort into everything you attempt; otherwise, you
can never develop excellence. You can't sit on the couch while
becoming an excellent runner. You have to get out there and
practice running by putting your best efforts into it.
Life is full of challenges. These can be ones that you set for yourself,
or they can be things that life throws at you. With any challenge, you
are going to make mistakes, and there is nothing you can do to avoid
this. What you can do is learn from your mistakes. When something
goes wrong, don't put yourself down; instead, think of what
happened and learn from it. This way you will be more prepared the
next time.
Some actions on your list are going to be simple steps that you have
no problem executing while other action items may terrify you, and
your reaction to that fear would be to procrastinate and make
excuses. The idea is to get in the habit of taking action and scale
your way up to higher thresholds of comfort zone busting!
Step 1
Death
Embarrassment
Loss (of love or possessions)
Rejection
The final row from step 1 is the most important. Those are the things
that are clouding your judgment and potentially stopping you from
trying to reap the rewards that could be available if you made an
attempt.
For each potential negative, categorize the fear from one of 4 areas
listed in step 1.
Rarely will your actions involve the potential threat of death. You are
usually left with the remaining three which is fear of embarrassment,
loss, and rejection.
Now, think about other times you have lost, been rejected or been
embarrassed. Did you survive? Did you make any successes after
this event? Yes. So you can do it again.
When you start decomposing your fears using a simple process like
this, you make it easier to come to grips with the risk and overcome
whatever is holding you back.
The good news is you can create situations where you face a harsh
deadline, and you force yourself to tap into this resourceful side of
yourself!
Yes No
The need for certainty and feeling secure about every aspect of life
is what keeps so many people bound. Think about how few risks
you would take in life if you had to be certain of a result before taking
action:
You wouldn’t get in your car to drive because you could not be
certain that you will be able to avoid getting in an accident
You wouldn’t enter a relationship because you have no
guarantees that your partner will be as committed as you
You wouldn’t accept a promotion at work because you would
be uncertain if you could live up to the new expectations
You wouldn’t go out and make new friends because you’d be
uncertain if people would approve of you
This list could go on forever. The truth of the matter is that there are
so many areas of life where we have learned to stop worrying about
potential disasters, and we simply trust. You can apply this same
level of trust to any action you might want to take in your life.
The way you handle minor deviations in behavior will give you a
good indication as to how you will handle significant changes. If this
kind of change is difficult for you, you now have an abundance of
smaller, low-risk opportunities to practice challenging your comfort
zone.
1. Start noticing your patterns and build a list of routines you are in
2. Begin to practice breaking the patterns one at a time
3. For each new pattern, develop a strategy that enforces you to try
your new behavior
For each area of your life that you want to change, you are going to
seek out people you can follow, watch, observe and model. These
are individuals who are already getting the results you want in each
area of life. They can be family members, friends or people you
follow on social media or online channels.
It can be someone who is willing to mentor you or a coach you can
hire. (It can also be a mythical character like Athena, a movie
character, a famous athlete or fictitious character like Spiderman!)
Go ahead and fill in your success models for each of the different
areas of your life or each of your objectives.
A final word about fear. The idea here is not to remove your fears
entirely. Personally, I don’t believe that is possible because fear is
a natural reaction that we rely on for survival.
The real lesson here is to act despite any fear you may have and to
make a habit of “running towards” your fear.
You are the direct result of the small habits you decide and commit
to regularly doing.
Your assignment today is to choose one tiny habit you can instill
beginning today and execute for the next seven days. A great
example is dental floss. If you are not in the habit of flossing every
single day, start by using the next seven days to do so.
Just by that simple act, you are 90% of the way there!
The final step is to use your notebook to prioritize all of the changes
you intend to make in your life.
Then, start with a single habit and put the momentum principle into
play.
Choose One Small Habit Change That Can Help You Reach
Your Goals:
Use this process over and over again (to address each area of your
life that you want to improve) to grow and evolve into the person you
truly want to be!
Step 2
Use a service like http://www.futureme.org and write yourself an
email that you will schedule to be sent to you years (or months) into
the future. Review everything you’ve done in the last few days
through this course and put it all into that email.
Read your email a number of times. Read it aloud if you really want
to ingrain it. Then you can call it a wrap! (Send these emails to
yourself more frequently if required).
Congratulations!!!
You’ve just kissed your comfort zone goodbye!
I’ll leave you with the following tips to help you with your commitment
to staying out of your comfort zone.
Believe that what you do will make a difference - Have you ever
stopped yourself from helping someone else because you didn't
think it would make a difference? This is the type of behaviour you
want to stop. All of your actions, even small ones, can really make
a difference. You need to start believing this if you want to succeed
with everything you do.
While this course has been relatively short and to the point, I’m sure
you would agree that the positive impacts will be life changing if you
commit 100% of yourself into it. No half measures… that will only
give you mediocre results. That’s not what you want… you want to

Randa moved to Canada while in her twenties and lived there for
almost a decade. While there a series of life-changing events
motivated her to leave her career in interior design and real estate
and completely shift gears. She pushed herself hard to become
equipped with the necessary tools, certifications and trainings to aid
her in the newfound, #1 passion of building and being of service to
a Love Generation. She made this leap of personal faith because of
an actual dream she had while attending a women’s retreat. This
one dream flipped her life right side up! And her journey began.
Randa founded Be You International in Toronto, Canada and shortly
thereafter she moved back to expand into UAE. The bonus was that
she was able to be close to her family and make a difference in that
part of the world.
It doesn’t matter that I’m the only certified Passion Test facilitator in
UAE or that I’m trained to be a kids’ coach or that I’ve gone through
one of the most rigorous life coaching certification programs in the
world or that I have well over 1000 hours of coaching under my belt
or that I’m a certified Strategic Interventionist or that I have ICF’s
PCC designation along my BA and Master’s in interior design and
have many letters after my name.
It only matters that I absolutely kick ass (just like yours) into getting
your shit out of the way. So that you have more clarity and space,
so you know what your passions truly are and then to have a game
plan of how to bring more of that into your ~now~ happy life and
the world.
