Introduction

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 7 | Page

There's nothing more empowering than coming to the realization
that you can have, do and be anything you want!

The problem for most people is they don't believe it is possible for
them.

The adage "seek and you shall find" remains as true as ever. If you
look for proof that achieving big goals, big dreams and living a life
of excitement and success is possible, you will find it.

And if you look for proof that life is difficult, big goals are impossible
to achieve, and success is reserved only for a select few—well, you
are certain to find that as well.

Remember: What you focus on, expands in your life.

One of the most significant traits of successful people is that they

are action driven individuals. They are constantly trying out new
ideas to see what sticks and what doesn’t. More often than not, new
ideas and strategies they come up with may NOT work as expected.
They use each one of these experiences as a learning opportunity
to advance closer to their goals.

Producing results is More Important than Being Comfortable

And producing results is no small task for the average person. That’s
why only 20% of individuals do what it takes, and the other 80% sit
and watch! What very few people realize is that successful people
are always pushing themselves, challenging their personal
limitations and becoming more skilled in many different areas of life.

Instinctively we all strive to find a comfort zone in life. We want to be

sure of everything. We want to feel safe and to be assured that
nothing unexpected is going to happen. The bad news is that your
comfort zone is a very dangerous place to be.

8 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

Why?

If you are totally comfortable with everything in your life, it means

you aren’t doing anything. You are not learning or growing.
Therefore, you are not expanding into your full potential. By natural
law, this means you are becoming less!

Successful people become quite concerned if they find they have

settled into a comfort zone. They understand the negative
implications of this kind of activity and quickly launch themselves
into action again.

Over the course of the next nine days, you are going to realize that
not only is success possible for you, it is also inevitable. An exciting
future awaits you. But you have to name it and claim it. Your journey
begins now.

The ultimate purpose of this course is to help you take bigger and
better action to move you towards your goals and dreams. It would
naturally follow that to get any value from this course you need to
start from the ground up and define what you want and why you
want it.

Are you ready to have your best life ever…powered by passion?

Where
Are
You
Now?

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 11 | Page

If you want to experience the freedom of being a complete action
taker who is willing to do anything, regardless of how scary it may
be, you have to find something of major significance to drive you. I
promise you that having a fluffy goal with no emotional backing (for
example, a certain amount of yearly income) is not a driving force;
it is more of a nice-to-have.

The driving force I am talking about is something much more

personal, much more sacred to the individual. It is a representation
of you, your beliefs, your morals, values and everything else that
defines you at the core of your being and makes you…YOU!

Very few people ever take the time to define this for themselves so
they never truly tap into their driving force. That is why we see so
many people living complacent lives, accepting mediocrity and
frustration instead of aggressively pursuing something that makes
them come alive. Because of this, it never occurs to them that they
should be stepping out of their comfort zone and trying new things.

I am inviting you to have your passions be your driving force going

forward for everything you do. Try that out, see how it feels.
Let’s begin!

Buy yourself a special notebook you can use to work through this
course. Something cheap and simple will do. But the notebook
should be dedicated to this course only… and later become a record
of your progress and the story of your dreams coming to life.

Old school paper and pen may very well change your life forever!
Studies show that writing out thoughts, ideas and brainstorms
longhand is significantly more powerful than typing. I believe there’s
magic in writing things down.

Ignorance is NOT Bliss
Knowing exactly how your life is working right now will:

a) Allow you to appreciate what you are doing well and feel
successful.
b) Allow you to be motivated by the things you are unsatisfied
with, so you decide to make a change.

You need to know exactly where you are today at all levels of life.
Take some time now, to answer these questions in your journal:

What are you happy with and what are you unsatisfied with
regarding:
 Health
 Relationships
 Money
 Work
 Passion/energy
 Etc. (add anything else you want here)

For the results you are happy with, write down why you are happy.
For the results you are unhappy with, write down why you are
unhappy.

Getting
True
Clarity

16 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

What are your big ideas? What do you really want in your life? These
are not goals but rather, things that you would simply like to “have”
in some way, shape or form. Also, decide why these wants are
important.

Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle. On the left
side write your wants and on the right side write the corresponding
why, and imagine there were no limits and that you have an infinite
amount of money and time. Go big or go home as you do this
exercise. It takes the same amount of time and energy and thinking
power to dream small as it does to dream big.

If you were as powerful and resourceful as you wanted to be, how

would the following look?
 Health
 Relationships
 Money
 Work
 Passion/Energy
 Etc. (add whatever you want)

Ponder this question

Are you trying to lead a life where you are committed to displaying
excellence in everything that you do?

Here’s the answer

The answer is entirely up to you. You can embrace all of your power
and see what you are really made of, OR you can put a limit on your
thinking and actions and continue to produce results you are
unhappy with.

If you want to doubt anything, doubt your own limits. You can always
stretch them beyond what your mind tells you is possible. One way
to reach this point is by taking ownership and responsibility for all of
your actions.

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 17 | Page

Once you 'own' your choices and accept the consequences, you will
be viewed as a person who can be respected. Other people will see
you as someone who can be counted on, and this is a huge trait to
own.

The easiest way to display ownership is by not making excuses. It

really is so easy to blame outside influences for your mistakes or
oversights. While no one can control 100% of what happens, you
can control how you respond to certain situations. This reaction can
completely change your life.

Examples of things you can take ownership for include your

relationships, your education, your fitness and your social life. As
you start to take ownership, you will find that you feel more confident
and have a purpose in life.

Along with ownership, you need to learn how to be flexible. Are you
currently willing to do things differently?

This means not being stubborn when something isn't working. Take
advice and attempt to change what you are doing. If you do, you will
begin to excel at more tasks, and this helps increase your
confidence and self-esteem. Becoming a flexible person means that
you are happy to respond to a situation in a different way. When you
are flexible, you are not rigid and set in your ways. ……………..

This brings us to another important factor in the quest to committing

to excellence in everything you do. This is the step of adding
balance to your life.

When you live a balanced life, you are focusing on those things that
hold meaning to you. At the same time, though, you are still mindful
of those around you. You make choices that are related to the way
you feel and what you are thinking. ………………………………...

18 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

Balancing your life entails knowing when not to allow yourself to go
out with friends so you can finish up an important project. You
recognize the importance of staying healthy and fit and act
accordingly.

When you combine taking ownership, being flexible, and balance

into your life, you will be well on your way to leading a life where you
are committed to excellence in everything that you do. ….

You are never too old to set another Goal or to dream a
new Dream. - Aristotle

Creating
Objectives
& Goals

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 21 | Page

Now you understand what motivates and drives you as a person,
and you have clarity on what you want in life and why you want it.
So, it’s time to crank up the volume on some kick-ass massive action
planning!

Think about an Olympic athlete and the level of dedication they

display towards their goals. They are driven by the desire to
compete, the potential of one day being an Olympic champion.
There is no way they could withstand the years of physical exertion
if they were doing it for fame or money. They are doing it for a much
more profound reason. They are doing it powered by passion.

To start making real change in each area, you need to develop a

plan.

Now obviously this isn't rocket science. But here's the problem…
plans very often fail. And if you blindly write a plan to correct
problems you have been perpetuating for years, you already know
what is going to happen (that's right…nothing!).

Fact
People with big, challenging objectives for their life will face a
mountain of work before they even come close to achieving what
they want. If you do not have a long list of comfort-zone-stretching
ideas to go outside of your comfort zone, then you have simply not
done enough to attack your goals.

For each of the major areas in your life, write down a major objective
and begin a brainstorm (it can be a simple list or even using an
online software like http://bubbl.us).

22 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

Example:

Objective: Be able to do a headstand without the help of a wall or

a spotter. (This was one of my personal goals for 2013)

Massive Action Plan:

- Research yoga studios in my area
- Go to as many classes as I can
- Find an online yoga membership website
- Decide on my yoga routine (frequency, etc.)
- Find a yoga buddy
- Find a nutritionist
- Do core strengthening exercises daily
- Hire a coach
- Etc.

Ponder this question

Have you ever found yourself being intrigued or even jealous of how
some people seem to be committed and succeed at everything they
do?

Here’s the answer

It doesn't take that much effort to excel in everything you attempt. It
is important to understand that nobody can be perfect, but it is
possible to be excellent!

The best way to develop a life committed to success that’s totally

outside your comfort zone is by always putting your best foot forward
and directing all your energy into your goals and objectives. As long
as you acknowledge that you are doing your best, you are excelling.

You have to put effort into everything you attempt; otherwise, you
can never develop excellence. You can't sit on the couch while
becoming an excellent runner. You have to get out there and
practice running by putting your best efforts into it.

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 23 | Page

You also need to learn how to master things. This applies to learning
new skills or understanding how to run a new software program, for
example. Before taking on a project or a goal, you must be prepared
to fully commit and follow through with it.

Life is full of challenges. These can be ones that you set for yourself,
or they can be things that life throws at you. With any challenge, you
are going to make mistakes, and there is nothing you can do to avoid
this. What you can do is learn from your mistakes. When something
goes wrong, don't put yourself down; instead, think of what
happened and learn from it. This way you will be more prepared the
next time.

Another way to challenge yourself is by setting high standards. Don't

be satisfied with only doing those things that come easily to you. Do
something that takes you out of your comfort zone.

To develop lifelong excellence you should always be open to

learning. This may include learning from books or by taking courses
just like this one. But it also includes learning from life and adapting
to things as necessary. Be open to becoming a reader of life!

Day 4
Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it.

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 25 | Page

Facing
Your
Fears

26 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

From now on, you will commit to doing at least one action from your
massive action plan every single day or on a regular basis.

Some actions on your list are going to be simple steps that you have
no problem executing while other action items may terrify you, and
your reaction to that fear would be to procrastinate and make
excuses. The idea is to get in the habit of taking action and scale
your way up to higher thresholds of comfort zone busting!

Step 1

The quickest way to deal with fear is to investigate it. Fearful

thoughts can generally be categorized into the 4 following areas:

 Death
 Embarrassment
 Loss (of love or possessions)
 Rejection

Your job is to bring the fearful thoughts into perspective (i.e.

rationalize the fear). Fill in the following chart for any action that is
causing you fear or anxiety.

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 27 | Page

Step 2

The final row from step 1 is the most important. Those are the things
that are clouding your judgment and potentially stopping you from
trying to reap the rewards that could be available if you made an
attempt.

For each potential negative, categorize the fear from one of 4 areas
listed in step 1.

Rarely will your actions involve the potential threat of death. You are
usually left with the remaining three which is fear of embarrassment,
loss, and rejection.

Now, think about other times you have lost, been rejected or been
embarrassed. Did you survive? Did you make any successes after
this event? Yes. So you can do it again.

This is entirely a mindset exercise.

When you start decomposing your fears using a simple process like
this, you make it easier to come to grips with the risk and overcome
whatever is holding you back.

SCALE THE RISK

Put a size on the upside vs. the downside. In most cases, the
potential upside is huge compared to the downside. If you were
helping someone else in your position, how would you see this risk?
Just visualize the upside as a much bigger “thing.”

Day 5
If you always put limits on everything you do. Physical or
anything else, it will spread into your work and into your
life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you
must not stay there, you must go beyond them.

Stretching
The
Limit

30 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

We all know the power of a deadline. In Robert Greene's book "The
50th Law," he talks about what happens when we face extreme
deadlines…

We have all had moments of a harsh deadline

where you face real pressure to deliver. What
happens is our minds snap to attention. We find
the necessary energy because we have to. We
pay attention to the details that normally elude us
because they might spell the difference between
success and failure, life and death. We are
surprised at how inventive we become. These
moments show us mental power that is generally
untapped. If only we could have this every day.

The good news is you can create situations where you face a harsh
deadline, and you force yourself to tap into this resourceful side of
yourself!

Your assignment today is to pick a single action that will drastically

propel you forward towards one of your primary objectives/ goals.

Make it something you can achieve in 7 days or less.

Publicly commit to doing it by posting it on Facebook or telling

friends and family about your intentions. Make sure you are locked
in with the clarity of what the objective or goal is and by when you
want to achieve it and give yourself no way out.

something you do daily. – John Maxwell

Breaking
The
Routine

34 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

To become a proficient comfort zone breaker, it is important to
understand the psychology and behavior patterns that cause so
many people to remain stuck living a life less than they are capable
of.

The need for certainty and feeling secure about every aspect of life
is what keeps so many people bound. Think about how few risks
you would take in life if you had to be certain of a result before taking
action:

 You wouldn’t get in your car to drive because you could not be
certain that you will be able to avoid getting in an accident
 You wouldn’t enter a relationship because you have no
guarantees that your partner will be as committed as you
 You wouldn’t accept a promotion at work because you would
be uncertain if you could live up to the new expectations
 You wouldn’t go out and make new friends because you’d be
uncertain if people would approve of you

This list could go on forever. The truth of the matter is that there are
so many areas of life where we have learned to stop worrying about
potential disasters, and we simply trust. You can apply this same
level of trust to any action you might want to take in your life.

How do you learn to worry less and trust more?

Like anything else, you practice. You can systematically break
patterns in your life where you have previously expected a routine
and do something entirely different.

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 35 | Page

Some examples:

If your routine is to wake up at 7:30 just in time to get ready for

work and start your day, you can start waking up an hour earlier
and start writing that book you have always wanted to write.
If your workout routine involves 30 minutes on the treadmill, join
a running club instead and create new friends and new
experiences.
If you drink coffee every morning, try changing to a protein drink
for a few weeks and see how it makes you feel.
If you go to the same restaurant or eat the same kind of food, try
a new restaurant with food you have never experienced before.

The point here is to catch yourself in routines or habit patterns that

you may have never even thought about before. Use the opportunity
to try something new and do some self-analysis as to how you
handled the experience. Some people are very uncomfortable when
they break a routine and others find it to be fun and adventurous.

The way you handle minor deviations in behavior will give you a
good indication as to how you will handle significant changes. If this
kind of change is difficult for you, you now have an abundance of
smaller, low-risk opportunities to practice challenging your comfort
zone.

1. Start noticing your patterns and build a list of routines you are in
2. Begin to practice breaking the patterns one at a time
3. For each new pattern, develop a strategy that enforces you to try
your new behavior

Your
Cheerleading
Squad

If you have worked your way through all the previous exercises
wholeheartedly and didn’t cheat any part of the process, then you
are in a great position by now because you know…

a) Where you are, and

b) Where you truly want to be for each area of life
c) Why you want all the things you listed
d) How you are going to get there
e) You’ve tackled your fear
f) You’ve declared at least one goal publicly
g) You’re breaking your routine that holds you back

You are missing one thing only.

Your assignment today is to identify your idols or role models or
success models.

For each area of your life that you want to change, you are going to
seek out people you can follow, watch, observe and model. These
are individuals who are already getting the results you want in each
area of life. They can be family members, friends or people you
follow on social media or online channels.
It can be someone who is willing to mentor you or a coach you can
hire. (It can also be a mythical character like Athena, a movie
character, a famous athlete or fictitious character like Spiderman!)

This will become your cheerleading squad as you go confidently well

outside your comfort zone!

Go ahead and fill in your success models for each of the different
areas of your life or each of your objectives.

Success is like a snowball… It takes momentum to build

gets. – Steve Ferrante

Power
of
Momentum

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 43 | Page

Now that you have done a significant amount of self-analysis and
personal growth activity, it is time to demolish your comfort zone
altogether and kiss it goodbye.

You are no longer willing to be imprisoned by fear, at any level of

your life. You understand that true freedom comes with your
willingness to put results ahead of comfort on your personal priority
scale. It is time to act like the bold, courageous, risk-taking individual
you have always known you could be.

A final word about fear. The idea here is not to remove your fears
entirely. Personally, I don’t believe that is possible because fear is
a natural reaction that we rely on for survival.

The real lesson here is to act despite any fear you may have and to
make a habit of “running towards” your fear.

Momentum is a powerful force in nature. You see it manifested in

both positive and negative ways. You can use the law of momentum
to either harm you or to advance you in the direction of your goals.

Here's the KEY…

If you commit to doing something for just three consecutive days,
you have the beginnings of a powerful "momentum" force working
in your favor!

You are the direct result of the small habits you decide and commit
to regularly doing.
Your assignment today is to choose one tiny habit you can instill
beginning today and execute for the next seven days. A great
example is dental floss. If you are not in the habit of flossing every
single day, start by using the next seven days to do so.

Just by that simple act, you are 90% of the way there!

44 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

Once you have committed to the habit for the seven-days window,
you obviously must keep it going… (But you already know that.)

Your job is to observe how your perceptions change during these

seven days. You deliberately see a change in behavior based on a
habit you have chosen to create.

NOW, you are ready to begin implementing new

habits that move you towards your major goals
and objectives.

The final step is to use your notebook to prioritize all of the changes
you intend to make in your life.

Then, start with a single habit and put the momentum principle into
play.

Choose One Small Habit Change That Can Help You Reach
Your Goals:

After Committing to That Change for 7 Days, reflect on How It

Has Impacted You:

Use this process over and over again (to address each area of your
life that you want to improve) to grow and evolve into the person you
truly want to be!

And remember to journal everything!

Day 9
Life is short. Live it, use it and deal with it wisely.
– E.A. Cabaltica

Sealing
The
Deal

Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved 47 | Page

Step 1
Take all of your answers from all the previous steps and enter them
like me—manually, the old-fashioned way—into an agenda where
you can see your weeks and months at a glance with your list of
“whats” and “whys.” This way you will have it all organized in one
place.

Step 2
Use a service like http://www.futureme.org and write yourself an
email that you will schedule to be sent to you years (or months) into
the future. Review everything you’ve done in the last few days
through this course and put it all into that email.
Read your email a number of times. Read it aloud if you really want
to ingrain it. Then you can call it a wrap! (Send these emails to
yourself more frequently if required).

Congratulations!!!
You’ve just kissed your comfort zone goodbye!

I’ll leave you with the following tips to help you with your commitment
to staying out of your comfort zone.

Be passionate about what you do for an occupation - If you want

to succeed at work, then you need to be passionate about what it is
you do every day. This may not be that easy, especially if you aren't
that happy with your current job. The next time you are asked to
deliver a project, be passionate about it and put all your efforts into
it. If not for your boss, for yourself, this way you know you delivered
your best work.

Believe that what you do will make a difference - Have you ever
stopped yourself from helping someone else because you didn't
think it would make a difference? This is the type of behaviour you
want to stop. All of your actions, even small ones, can really make
a difference. You need to start believing this if you want to succeed
with everything you do.

48 | Page Copyright © 2017 Be You International All Rights Reserved

Challenge yourself at all times - Do you take the easy way out, or
are you up for a challenge? Successful people love challenges and
are always looking for one. Completing a challenge can really boost
your self-confidence.

Expect the best of everyone - As soon as you start expecting the

best from others, this is what you will see. Start thinking about
yourself and others in a positive manner from now on.

Always follow through with things and follow up - How many

times have you started a job and put all your effort into it, only to find
your energy levels dwindle? Only take on a job that you know you
can finish, and when you do, ensure that you do it righ and get it
finished on time.

Focus on one task or goal at a time - Doing too many things at

one time is a sure-fire way not to excel at anything. You simply have
too many projects and not enough time.

Always give more than what is asked of you - When someone

asks for help with a certain task or chore, be prepared to go that one
step further. If a neighbour needs help moving old furniture out of
the house, offer to help move the new furniture in too. If you are
working for a client, then overdeliver by adding something extra that
adds value to the project without being asked.

While this course has been relatively short and to the point, I’m sure

About

Hey be-you-tiful people!
I’m Randa
A life coach, author, speaker, founder of Be You International and
humanitarian who thrives on inspiring young people to live happy
lives that are powered by passion.

Randa is a Canadian citizen who was born in Lebanon and raised

in the United Arab Emirates where her dad (her favorite person in
the world) had started his own entrepreneurial business since
before the UAE was united! She’s travelled far and wide for her
education in pursuit of her #1 passion at the time, Interior design.
Randa lived in Italy and used it as a home base for travelling
throughout Europe, pursuing her other passion for travel.

Randa moved to Canada while in her twenties and lived there for
almost a decade. While there a series of life-changing events
motivated her to leave her career in interior design and real estate
and completely shift gears. She pushed herself hard to become
equipped with the necessary tools, certifications and trainings to aid
her in the newfound, #1 passion of building and being of service to
a Love Generation. She made this leap of personal faith because of
an actual dream she had while attending a women’s retreat. This
one dream flipped her life right side up! And her journey began.
Randa founded Be You International in Toronto, Canada and shortly
thereafter she moved back to expand into UAE. The bonus was that
she was able to be close to her family and make a difference in that
part of the world.

A snapshot into her thoughts:

“I believe we need more happy people because happy people

change the world. I’m here to build a love generation of happy
people who are powered by passion.
I believe happy people are those who bring their ALL to the game of
life and utilize all their God-given unique set of gifts, talents,
personality and passion. That’s the essence of Being You.

I also believe that you have the power. The power to step up and
change your life and change the world around you along the way.
You have the power to choose to get out of your comfort zone and
do things differently—more passionately—more you.

I walked on burning coal in Florida, threw myself off a plane—

twice—zip-lined the jungles of Belize and from the top of a
skyscraper in Dubai, jumped off a 60-foot-high pole in Fiji, walked
on an active volcano in Greece, swam with nurse sharks, lived on 3
continents, gone to hell and back through a short-lived marriage,
survived a 10-day silent meditation retreat and recently did a 10K
run With obstacles. I love the thrill of a challenge and to do
something I thought was impossible. I assure you, I will have you go
through the same through my private coaching sessions or
workshop events or retreats. Same same, but different.

It doesn’t matter that I’m the only certified Passion Test facilitator in
UAE or that I’m trained to be a kids’ coach or that I’ve gone through
one of the most rigorous life coaching certification programs in the
world or that I have well over 1000 hours of coaching under my belt
or that I’m a certified Strategic Interventionist or that I have ICF’s
PCC designation along my BA and Master’s in interior design and
have many letters after my name.

It only matters that I absolutely kick ass (just like yours) into getting
your shit out of the way. So that you have more clarity and space,
so you know what your passions truly are and then to have a game
plan of how to bring more of that into your ~now~ happy life and
the world.

Because we need more happy people in the world—did I mention

this already?”
