To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this to present my resume and letter of intent to your school district. I graduated from
Oakland University with my Undergrad degree in 2012, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
with an endorsement in ELA. I also recently obtained my Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership from
Oakland University in 2014. I also will be obtaining my Educational Specialist degree at the end of the
month from Oakland University. These degrees have allowed me to gain many needed skills to be an
effective teacher and effective leader. Throughout my professional career, I have gained many new
experiences and taken on new roles that have allowed me to grow my mind into developing into a
strong leader.

I have been with Regent Park Scholars Academy for five years, four years of experience in 5th grade and
one year of experience in 7/8th grade ELA. While being at Regent Park, I have been a teacher, a mentor,
a Teacher Leader, Athletic Director, and Summer School Coordinator. These roles have allowed me to
develop myself into the person I am today. I have developed my communication skills, how I handle
conflict, how I present myself to colleagues and other teachers, how to effectively coach others, and
how to manage time to ensure deadlines are met. Prior to being at Regent Park, I worked as a long-term
sub at Graham Elementary in the Avondale School District. I also completed my student teaching at this
school, which is how I was considered for the long-term sub job. My passion for working with students
throughout the school day and before and after school has led to me to be involved with events in the
community and school. I have also strived to create and strengthen parent-school relations.

In working for your school, I will bring many skills and experiences that further me as a leader and also
will benefit your school. I have experience working with diverse populations. I have worked with Visible
Thinking Routines, Marzano’s Academic Vocabulary, many various technology tools, and have been
responsible for many leadership roles. I enjoy working with teachers and other administrators to gain
new ideas and coach the team to be the most effective they can be. Overall, my time management and
organization as well as out-going and friendly personality makes me a great candidate for your school
district and this position.

I look forward to hearing from you and meeting with you to discuss the great contributions I can make
to your school district. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Scott Greiner
