Erion is a majestic world comprised of five mighty nations. But in the times of old, once stood
the mightiest kingdom of them all, the kingdom of Valentine. It is known that its king used a
powerful artifact called the Cauldron to conquer all nearby kingdoms. The artifact brought glory
to the mighty nation, but it also brought destruction as well. The kingdom of Valentine and its
inhabitants have perished. In one, cold night…
Now, the other nations waged a war into one another, trying to take the Cauldron for
themselves. Now, heroes rise, driven by their own resolve and reason yet unbeknownst that
their fates are intertwined…

AUTHOR’S NOTE
First things first; since the world is full of lame punks taking advantage of other people’s hard
work, so please note that if you bought this guide from someone or from some website like E‐
Bay then you have been ripped off. As much as I want to earn money from writing this, I prefer
not to, just to have this guide to be accessed by all gamers around the world. This is distributed
FREE thru the gamesites I voluntarily submit my faqs and to those who asked for my permission.
Odin Sphere is one of my most anticipated games for the PS2 this year. I will be writing my 2nd
PDF guide for a PS2 game (one is for Dawn of Mana, an IGN exclusive) now with better quality
screenshots since I will using the Gamebridge instead of taking pics using an external camera.
Any feedback from you guys is very much appreciated. If you have corrections or suggestions tell
me so; remember that I am doing this for FREE and I am investing my time and effort to make
this guide as helpful as possible. I will try to cover everything I can but I can’t guarantee you that
this will be perfect. Spoilers are also ahead so read with care.
I can’t assure you that I can answer all your questions, but in the best of my ability I will. Thank
you for grabbing this faq and enjoy.

BASICS
Odin Sphere is a 2d platformer with great graphics and unique gameplay and battle mechanics.
This section of the guide will guide you through the basics and help you understand the unique
aspects of the game.
The game allows you to save anywhere; however, there is no LOAD option. This means that if
your HP reaches zero, you will need to start the stage all over again‐ keeping experience, gold,
and items you have acquired. This will not bring back the items you have already used. So, if
you just don’t feel like doing the stage again but you keep on dying against a group of enemies
or a boss/mini‐boss, then you need to restart the console and load your most recent save.
Enemies can be unpredictable; hence, I would like you to save often, especially if you know that
you are entering a mini‐boss or high difficulty (four‐five star) area.
Navigation
The map as shown above is divided into several areas. Each area is considered ‘round’ so while
you are running, you will just notice that eventually you will reach your starting position. This
simplicity saves time in too much navigating but doesn’t take out the fun either.
Ranking, Grading
Items shown in the areas when viewing the map are the prizes for completing the areas. When
you are completing areas, you are graded on how fast you defeat all the enemies, how much
damage you have take and how much carry over points left (from the previous grading). Getting
a total of 1000+ gives you an S, which is the best rank. This will allow you to receive more
rewards other than the prize for the area. Getting a D however, will just net you the prize and
another random item.
Phozons
These are materialized energy
produced after a creature stops living.
They appear as pink wisps in the air
and are vital to grow magical seeds
and give you energy to perform
magical attacks.
Absorbing them enables characters to
fill up their Psypher Gauge, at the
same time, earn Experience as you
absorb them.
Also, from time to time, a Butterfly will appear on the battlefield. It is considered rare since it
releases a good amount of phozons. You can only absorb it though.
Phozons are also used to grow seeds.
Growing seeds are the cheapest way of
producing recovery fruits. Each fruit has
a required number of phozons to
absorb in order to grow. Higher grade
seeds require more phozons, naturally.
TIP: The Rosemile plant requires no
phozon to grow. It will grow by itself
and best of all, release phozons. You
can use this to grow other seeds
without killing any enemies and you
want to stock up before a fight.
Psypher Skills
Psypher skills are learned when your Psypher level increases. This is done by absorbing phozons
and filling up your Psypher gauge. Psypher skills for each character are technically the same but
they do learn it on different levels and from different orders. Some skills are unique only to
certain characters. These skills are considered as your special attacks.
Cyclone: Summons a tornado that hits all enemies in front of you. Useful in taking out groups of
aggressors in a straight line. Can damage you if you jump into its path as well.
Phozon Release: Releases 6 Phozons into the air. Great for growing seeds while not fighting.
Uses up a full Psypher bar. Excess released phozons can be absorbed again for experience.
Invisible: Shifts your body into an immaterial form, which renders you invulnerable. However
your attacks won’t harm enemies but you can still use your Psypher skills.
Phozon Burst: A powerful burst that hits all enemies in a small area around you. High Damage
and may stun.
Psypher Heal: Restores HP until it is full or until you move.
Overload: Increases attack power temporarily.
Piercing Shot: A powerful blast that pierces through multiple enemies. (Mercedes only)
Shadow Ally: Creates a shadow/double of self that mimics attacks in battle. (Gwendolyn only)
Food and Recovery items
Aside from recovering HP, food and
recovery items is your primary
source of experience as well. Some
foods have low HP recovery but
have high experience and vice
versa. Some plants are even odder
since they grow into animals which
in turn you can attack to turn them
into edible meat.
You can grow food by planting
seeds and let them absorb all
surrounding phozons. Each seed
has their required number of
phozons to grow. Higher level seeds
must be planted in a LV3‐5 area.
This will ensure you that you a good
supply of phozons to grow the
plant.
Also, later in the game you will be
able to collect Recipes and enter
the Pooka Village’s Café and
Restaurant. Aside from the normal
ingredients, there are certain coins
needed to pay for the food. Note
that unlike ordinary nuts and fruits, foods served in the Restaurant and Café net the most
experience and also add value to your max HP. Bring in new recipes. Make sure you check out
the ingredients you have so that you won’t waste your time visiting the village. For basic
ingredients, there is a Pooka vendor outside the Restaurant as well.
Controls
You will be in active battle constantly. The controls may be a bit different to each character.
These are the basic controls.
Attack – Press Square button. Press up to four times consecutively to perform a combo
Guard – Hold Square button
Movement – D‐PAD or Left analog stick
Psypher Skills – Press Triangle Button
Jump – press X button
Double Jump – Press X button twice
Air Attack/ Combo – Jump then press the attack button once or consecutively
Open Item Ring – Press O button
Absorb Phozons in the area – Press R1
View Bags’ contents – Press R2 button
View Character Status Screen – Press L2 button
Open Map – Press L1
Open Game Menu – Press Start button
Cancel – Press Triangle
TIP: Don’t just go in and swing your weapon at the enemies. Mind your distance. When facing
a group of enemies, don’t rush in since they can easily chew your HP away, especially for those
high damaging enemies. Fighting haphazardly will just bring you trouble.
Another thing you should note is the POW gauge. Every swing takes a portion of the POW
gauge. Letting it drain to zero will make your character dizzy and open for attacks. To avoid this,
perform a few combos, then move away from the enemies to ‘rest’ and refill your POW gauge.
Items and Alchemy
You won’t survive any
adventure without collecting
and the help of items.
Sometimes, it is cheaper to just
create your own items than to
buy ready product. You can
only have one accessory
equipped at any given time.
To create new items, you
should have the appropriate
Mix. Like recipes, these are
item drops or prizes in different areas you explore. The main ingredient is called the Material.
Also, there are plants called Mandragoras that ‘squeak’ when you step on them. All of them are
vital ingredients in any alchemy mixes.
It is simple, really. Just select the material and scroll to the appropriate ingredient. By default, a
material’s number starts with zero (0). This indicates the number of phozons it will release after
mixing. For number zero, there will be two phozons that will be released.
Materials can also be combined. Their numbers will be multiplied. (Example: Material 4 +
Material 5 = Material 20) If the result exceeds 99, then the total is divided instead. (Example:
Material 75 + Material 3 = Material 25) Note that some potions can be derived only when
combining a certain material number.
‐ End of the basics section. Ready? Let’s hop to the main walkthrough ‐
WALKTHROUGH
The main game is comprised of several interconnecting, individual stories. They are represented
by Books which our little girl, Alicia will read. More books will be selectable once you finish a
character’s story. For the first book, Valkyrie, we will join Gwendolyn in a quest for honor, pride
and love.
Gwendolyn – Valkyrie
"The soul shines proudly after falling in battle; the birds have a belief: This is the only
method of earning an immortal soul"
For the first part of the game, just familiarize yourself with the controls and follow the tutorials.
You will also have a taste of your first battles here. Just practice with your attack timings. Chests
that are dropped by enemies or rewarded to you require a few good hits to open. Note that the
chests disappear a few moments of leaving them unopened or untouched.
Exit the area and you will find yourself inside the Castle. You can talk to everybody here to learn
more about what is happening. There is also a merchant just before the exit of the castle. You
don’t really need to purchase anything, but you can take a peek at his goods if you want.
In the world map, you only have one destination for the meantime. Select Raging Battlegrounds.

This stage is fairly easy. Try to get accustomed with the battle system and other stuff. At this
point of the game, Mulberries give a good amount of EXP so try to increase your Psypher and HP
levels.
The game will inform you to use Napalms against Unicorn Knights. However, I still think that
Toxins are still the best against these hard armored targets. They are tough to take down
themselves. Just don’t try to attack him head on. They hit hard and you may need to watch your
HP to avoid getting killed accidentally. Try to glide away when he charges. Using
As always, c lear the other areas first before heading to the boss of this area. Also, make sure
you have a good amount of recovery items ready.

This stage will introduce you to one of the many negative statuses in the game. When you are
inflicted with poison, you need to treat it immediately. You can wait it out but it takes quite a
while before it completely wears off. And that could spell trouble if you are in the middle of a
fight. Having a Detox Charm or some Antidotes will help you out here a lot. Don’t waste money
buying Antidotes. You will just need to make them.
At the start of the stage, you will receive a
tutorial about alchemy. You can check out the
basics above to review if you want. You just
need to follow the instructions and you’re all
set. You will learn about Mandragoras as well
The Manticores have some damaging attacks
that can inflict poison. To be safe, try to
attack it from the air. Using Napalm and
Cyclone wields the best results. In some
stages, there will be bees. Destroy the hives
since they’ll just keep on coming. The goblins
are fast and annoying. Most of the time, a
successful hit from them can poison you. Try
growing as many fruits as you can as well.
TIP: Antidote =Material 0 + Onionne

Material 6 + Cubsbane
After clearing all the other areas, you can now head to the boss. To be safe, just stock on healing
items as always. Save, then enter the battle against this chapter’s boss.
BOSS: Velvet, the forest witch
Velvet has some tricks on her sleeve that you should be cautious about. Fortunately, her HP is
not that high which means you can end this battle quickly, so long as you can deal damage to
her more than what she can deal to you.
Most of her attacks can be avoided. Just get rid of the frogs that will appear from time to time
since they can deal unnecessary damage and inflict poison as well. The best time to attack
Velvet is when she is on top of the tree branch. Do a couple of combos then glide away from
her.
Also, you can perform a combo by attacking her behind but be careful since she can counter it
with her own devastating combo.
After the battle, you should see a scene. So ‘tis another family secret, eh?
After the scene, you will be back inside the
Demon Lord’s Castle. You may want to check
the merchant’s new items. I suggest getting a
bag if you still haven’t. You will need the
additional space later on.
The next stage is a freezing one so I suggest
getting at least one Warmer. Exit the area and
select your next destination in the world map.
You can also revisit Elrit if you want some
extra EXP, items and gold.

When you enter an area and you see that your life is being drained slowly, immediately use a
Warmer to avoid further damage. A new kind of Mandragora, the Turny is here as well. This is
one raw ingredient in making some Warmers.
TIP: Got scraps? Bones, grape stems or napple cores can be used to increase the levels of
your materials. Instead of throwing them out, combine them with materials instead; this will
allow you to create high leveled materials.
The Berserkers are dangerous sub‐bosses. They can chip large chunks of HP on their normal
attacks. Don’t hesitate to use healing items whenever needed. One good way of defeating them
is by using Toxins and Cyclone. Try also not to attack them by normal combos. You can use air
attacks to avoid most of its attacks.
Ice elementals here can FREEZE you. You will be unable to move, attack or defend which makes
you open to enemy attacks. The only immediate solution against this status effect is by quickly
‘shaking’ your left analog stick. Note that those large Yetis recover health by burrowing in the
snow and their breath can freeze you as well. They are dangerous in groups so avoid rushing in
and just keep your distance as you fight.
As usual, check out what you can get in the shops you are visiting. If you can, get another large
bag if it’s available. More storage means more items.
When ready, save and make your way to the boss area.
BOSS: General Brigan
Brigan is slow but hits hard. Again, one of the
most effective ways of attacking him with
minimal risk is by down thrusting. Some
Valkyries and Ice Elementals will appear from
time to time to help him as well.
Be careful also since Brigan has one powerful
grab attack. He will grab Gwendolyn and pour
heavy ale on her. (see image below) Though it
doesn’t seem that he is forcing her to drink all
those ale, expect your character’s HP to drain
steadily and you will be dizzy afterwards.
Brigan has some openings whenever he
performs some of his attacks. Example, when
he is breathing fire, you can attack him from
behind, and even score a full combo. Just
avoid facing him head on.
Just attack him for the first part of the battle.
You won’t do that much damage but you will
be able to destroy the four shields in his body.
After those are taken care of, you can now
deal greater damage. Save your Phozon Burst
as a finishing blow, just to be safe.
After the scenes, you will be punished. Well, not really that much but Gwendolyn will just be
staying in the Castle Terrace. You can still talk to the NPCs here to get a feel more with the story.
The pooka in the far right is a merchant. Check you his inventory.
Again, the Bag is probably the best thing you can get right now. If you still have a lot of space,
you can just save your gold and wait for the Large Bag. Remember that you can only have a
maximum of 6 bags.
Now exit and choose your next destination in the world map.
Chapter 4 – Nebulapolis (Valkyrie)
You will immediately start in a Sub‐boss area. Just use the same tactics you have used before to
defeat the berserkers here. Be careful of those little dwarves and their bombs. They can cause
burning while dealing high damage upon explosion.
The ordinary axe‐wielding warriors are dangerous in groups and they don’t stagger easily –
which means they can attack you while you are attacking them. Magic works best against them.
Their weakness is their slowness. Once they start their attack combos, you can fly behind them
and attack them.
Valkyries will be here as well. They are not that hard just deliver a few solid blows and they’ll be
done for.

If you can, try to get the large bag. It has the most capacity that will save you a lot of trouble
when storing much needed recovery items.
BOSS: Demon Lord Odin
This boss could be the most challenging you’ll have to face yet. His Balor must be avoided at all
costs. It can definitely kill you in one hit. You way want to immediately fly away or past him
while he is charging for the Balor. His attacks are really damaging so stay on your toes and as
much as possible, try not to attack him head on. Using air combos and air rushes are pretty
effective.
If you have painkillers, don’t hesitate to use it at the start of the battle. This will at least lessen
the damage you’ll get. Use healing items as often as needed. Phozon Bursts will be helpful here
but you can make the most out of Cyclone as well.
Just remember that there are delays in between Odin’s attacks. If you are cautious, you can
evade most of his attacks. Equipping a Cythera Bangle will further increase your offensive
capacity.
Back in the Castle Terrace, the Pooka
merchant should have new items for
sale. Check it out.
The portal also behind him transports
you to the Pooka Village where you
can visit the Restaurant and Café.
There, you can eat the food indicated
in the recipes you have acquired, so
long as you have the proper
ingredients and the right coin to pay
for it.
Food served at the Café and Restaurant has high experience and permanent HP bonuses. More
sophisticated dishes require more ingredients but pack more experience. If you have a lot of
ingredients in stock and some coins as well, then expect to gain more than a couple of levels
when visiting the village.
There is also a merchant just outside the restaurant that sells some basic ingredients.
When ready, leave the village, then the terrace. Select your next destination.

Opposite to the Winterhorn Ridge, areas here can drain your HP due to extreme heat. You will
need to create some Coolers here. 2‐3 bottles will suffice. Just create/buy more if you need it.
Sub‐bosses here are Vulcans. They are not
that dangerous but their attacks can cause
burning. To quickly remove that status
ailment, quickly move or glide away. You will
also get some good recipes here so navigate
all the areas.
Fire Elementals will be abundant in this stage
as well. Try to avoid or destroy them or you’ll
be on fire quite often.
BOSS: LEVanTHAN
Overall, this boss is probably the easiest. His attacks are not powerful, except that fire blast
shown in the image to the right, which can kill you in one hit. This baby dragon’s attacks can be
avoided and during most of his attacks, he will be open for attacks. Although this boss has
considerably high defense, you won’t notice it if you keep on damaging him.
The most effective way to get through this battle quicker is to immediately get behind it while
he is preparing for an attack. Equipping a Mars Bangle will let you deal heavier damage but it is
only optional. This boss will occasionally ram you but it has low damage so don’t worry about it.
This little guy can be staggered by powerful
blows so you can score some more free hits in
case that happens. After a few scenes, you
will be back in the Castle Terrace. You can sell
some excess baggage (Any excess coolers you
may have will be useless from here on) and
get some new stuff. If you are planning to get
a new bag, remember that you can only keep
SIX bags. So, try getting the large bags since
you can’t exchange the smaller ones you have
acquired earlier.
When ready, exit to the world map and select your next destination. You may revisit the other
stages you have cleared if you want some extra gold, experience and items.

Enemies here are the same in the Raging Battlefields but stronger. Sub‐bosses include Unicorn
Knights. They are as threatening as ever, so make use some Toxins and Napalms if you have
them. The boss is not that hard so you won’t need to use them.
Also, the shop in the lower area has a transporter to the Pooka Village. I suggest collecting some
Mandragoras since they are the prime ingredients in most dishes in the Restaurant and Café.
BOSS: Fairy Queen Mercedes
Like the boss from the last stage, this battle is not that hard. Her only attacks will be projectiles,
though many, most of them deals not that much damage. Look out for the enemy
reinforcements that will arrive. You can always attack her from behind or just simply use air rush
attacks. Using Painkillers will further decrease the damage you will receive from her attacks.
She is not that tough. Her defense is low and her life is low as well. This battle will not take long.
Just keep attacking.
After some scenes, you will find yourself in the terrace again. Pack up, sell some extra baggage. I
suggest getting the Jupiter Bangle or Vampiric Ring. Exit and head to the last stage on this story.

In this stage, you may experience some lag.
This comes even worse in areas with lots of
ghastly enemies. Plan your attacks carefully
since you will need to adjust with the slow
speed on the entire gameplay in this stage.
Some areas here are pitch black. You need to
use Shine since some enemies can only be seen
or attacked after using it. Or simply, you can
just stay with those candle carriers. They can
provide some limited light.
The sub‐bosses can be stubborn. Try using air
rushes against them. Not to mention those floating ghosts can be troublesome too. Using
phozon burst can help you around in these situations.
BOSS: Odette, Queen of the Netherworld
This battle is horrible. Not with the boss’ difficulty but with the slowdown. Fighting with Odette
only is no problem. The lag starts when she summons more minions. Though they can be
annoying and can be dispatched with one hit, with their numbers, they can be dangerous.
Instead of using Phozon Burst, you may want to use Cyclone to get rid of them if they start to
gather in numbers. Well, not bad for the last battle.
Odette’s attacks are quite damaging if you don’t avoid them. One of the most lethal is when she
summons an orb (shown in the 2nd image) and several limbs will pin you. She also summons a
rolling blade. Get out of its way and glide to the other side.
Odette can also heal herself. When she releases her spider‐like limbs, you need to rush her and
attack to cancel the healing process. She heals with quite an amount so expect this battle to last
longer if you don’t cancel that.
The secret for defeating her is to be aggressive. Casting Overload then staying close to her while
performing combos will surely drain her HP considerably. Just watch out from her lethal attacks.
It may take several tries (save in the middle of the battle so that you can load and start with this
battle immediately. Her life will become full however) but eventually, once you learn her attack
patterns then it will be easier to predict what she will be doing next.
After defeating Odette, watch the following scenes. Congratulations! You just finished
Gwendolyn’s storyline. You can still use her but the story will start again from the beginning but
all your items, skills and experience will be carried over. You can also now select a new book and
a new storyline; The Pooka Prince.
BOSS: Odette, Queen of the Netherworld
Her attack patterns are still the same. She will be a lot weaker now but her attacks can be fatal if
not careful. The lagdown issues are still here. Just keep on attacking her aggressively. Her
minions won’t deal that much damage so just ignore them and concentrate on taking down
Odette. Cyclone works well against her as well.
You will find yourself in the Demon Lord’s castle. Talk to everybody if you want, then check out
the merchant to the far right.
Exit to the world map and select your next destination.

This will be an easy stage. Normal enemies include Valkyries, Gargoyles and Dwarves. Basically,
this is the same as Gwendolyn’s but the enemies are a bit weaker. The Berserkers here are as
dangerous as ever. Use Napalm to take them out easily.
Also, try to make as much Healing Tonics as possible. This stage is full of Caroteers and it will just
require one caroteer and a Material to create a Healing Tonic. This will be very helpful in the
later stages where you need quick healing. For now, berries and nuts will be enough.
Fight your way to the last area. You won’t be facing the Demon Lord Odin but you will face
Brigan instead.
BOSS: General Brigan
His attack patterns are still the same. You still need to remove all the four shields protecting him
or your attacks won’t do much damage. This can be done by performing successful combos. It
will be effective to spin attack him then perform an Air combo. This will lower the risk of getting
hit by his melee attacks.
If he starts hopping around like a crazed rabbit that just got a vasectomy, quickly get out of the
way. This can cause considerable damage and can daze your character as well. He is also open
when breathing fire.
After some scenes, you will find yourself back at home, in Titania. Walk along the alley. You will
also find two shops here. Exit the area for more scenes.

Elrit Forest is still the same as before. Try to stock up at least two bottles of Antidote in this
stage. All enemies here are dangerous since they can inflict poison with their attacks. Use
Cyclone when groups of enemies are rushing towards you.
The Bee Hives are still here so use Cornelius’
air combo to destroy them. Manticores can
be easily defeated by using Napalm and Spin
Attacks against them. Compared to
Gwendolyn, Cornelius is a bit tougher so you
can endure more damage before even
needing to heal.
Make your way to the stage’s boss.
BOSS: Velvet’s Impostor
Her attack patterns are still the same. All her attacks can be avoided. She doesn’t have that
much life or defense so you can pummel her with your combos. Be careful not to get caught in
her counterattack. She can perform a combo also.
The best time to attack her is when she is on top of the tree branch. Just use air combos or spin
attacks.
After the battle, watch a few more scenes. Get rid of any excess items you may not need
anymore and check out the merchants’ inventories. Exit and head to your next destination.

here or you’ll fin your HP slowly decreasing.
Be careful of those Yetis and Ice Elementals
that has some attacks that can turn you to
ice. To recover from frozen status, you just
need to ‘shake’ your character.
The Berserker sub‐boss is still as dangerous as
ever, yet the Revenant will be as annoying as
well. Just use spin attacks and air combos to
get rid of them. If you have spare space, try to
stock up some Mandragoras and some
Napples.
BOSS: wagner, raging dragon
Wagner has some damaging attacks. Not to mention that he also summons elementals. One of
his most basic attacks includes a dive sweep that can knock you down and cause dizziness. He
also sprays fire which can cause burning. Quickly move around to avoid recover from it quickly.
If you have Painkillers, use it as well. Remember that Wagner has a blind spot. That is over his
head. You can jump over his head and attack him from there.
From time to time, he will summon tornadoes. Just avoid getting caught near the vortices. If you
have some Healing Tonics, this is one of the battles where you should use them. Fruits don’t

Same as Gwendolyn’s first stage, just navigate this
stage normally. You’ll start immediately in the
boss area, facing a Berserker. Defeat it and collect
the items on the other areas. The sub‐boss before
the boss is a Unicorn Knight, so try using a Toxin
or Napalm if you have any. As always, stock up
with healing items. Well, generally, the next boss
is just easy.
BOSS: Mercedes, the Fairy Princess
Mercedes is just as easy when you faced her with Gwendolyn. Her attack patterns are just the
same and not that damaging – though you may want to avoid getting hit by her Piercing Shot.
Well, she is mostly airborne, so you need to use your air combos and spin attacks so reach her.
She is open whenever she is attacking, so you can use that time to land some successful hits on
her.
Mercedes doesn’t have that much HP and defense so expect to end this battle quickly. Watch
out for her reinforcements since they deal more damage than Mercedes herself. You can use
Phozon Burst to deal damage to Mercedes and to the soldiers if they get close together.

Be careful of the enemies here. The goblins can
still inflict poison. The fire elementals here can
cause burning. The most dangerous of all the
common enemies would be those fire stones.
After their HP depletes to 0, stay away from
them. Their explosion damage can always kill
you unless you are in full health.
Vulcans are not that hard. Just use Spin Attacks
and air combos often since she mostly stays
airborne. When inflicted with burning, quickly
move to recover from it.
Unfortunately, the map is available in the last
area before the boss. During this stage, I
suggest stocking up some Napples, a Withered
Napple and Rueworts. You will need them to
cook the Strudel
BOSS: Levanthan
Like the last time, generally, this boss is not that hard. His normal attacks doesn’t deal that much
damage, though you need to look out for his devastating fire blast, as shown in the second
image above. Most of his attacks does leave him open, not to mention that he staggers often
too. Just use your special attacks to end this battle quicker.
After the battle, you will be back in Titania. There will be two shops there and a portal leading to
the Pooka Village. I suggest visiting the Café and Restaurant and try to earn some levels. The
Strudel is the best dish you can get at this point. You may also want to revisit other stages to
earn additional exp, items and gold. Remember that the items available in those stages can be
acquired again, not to mention the extra stuff you’ll get from enemy drops.
Check out the shops and exit to the far right to enter the last stage. If you are on the offensive, I
suggest equipping a Jupiter Bangle or an Adversity Ring. You may also want to stock up some
Toxins and Napalms.

Welcome to the last stage. This stage has lots of
annoying enemies that will really test your
patience.
The Goblins can still inflict poison to you so it will
be handy to have an Antidote or two. Just use
Cyclone once you see a swarm of them coming
towards you via radar.
The sorcerers are nevertheless annoying as well.
They will teleport once you get near them or after
landing one hit. The best way to get rid of them is
to kill them the first time they appear on the battlefield. Or better yet, attack the floating
swords they summon to deflect it back to them.
The Ooze is a threat to Cornelius since his attacks and Psypher skills doesn’t work against this
moving green glob of dirty jelly. The only way you can kill them is by using Toxins or Napalms.
Frog tongue attacks also works well against them (by using Metamorphosis) but that will be a bit
risky. There are no major items to look out for in this stage. There are just gold coins. Stock up
with healing items, preferably Healing Tonics and Praline Chocolates/ Ginger Breads. (Acquired
by taking out from the Cafe)
BOSS: Raging Dragon, Belial
Like before, his attack patterns are still the same, only more powerful. Not to mention that he
has Sorcerers as reinforcements. Use Spin Attacks and Air Combos to lower the risk of getting
hit. From time to time, he will also produce debris, which can damage you when they hit. Deflect
them by attacking them with your sword.
Once gathering a good number of debris, he will start sucking the air around you. Try to avoid
getting gobbled as much as possible since it does high damage and can daze you as well. Ignore
the magicians as long as they don’t bother you that much. Using Painkillers will reduce the
damage taken. You can also use Regeneration if you want some backup healing.
He will be vulnerable from behind while he is absorbing the wind but it will be risky to get there
unless you timed it right. Just give it all what you have here; after all, this is your final battle.
After defeating Belial, watch the remaining scenes. Well, the ending may not be that satisfying
since Cornelius will still live as a Pooka but hey, Velvet still ought to be with him. Congratulations
for completing the second book.
Save your game and take a rest. Or just pickup the next book, Fairy Land.
Mercedes – Fairy Land
"Once upon a time, in a starlit forest far, far, away; fairies lived under the protection of a
queen resembling flowers like a fleeting fantasy"
Watch the scenes and get used of Mercedes’ tutorial. Her attacks are a bit different than the last
two characters you have used. Here are some changes and new features:
• Mercedes can fly and land at will.
• POW is replaced with AMMO. Shooting arcane bolts from her bow consumes ammo.
She needs to land to reload.
• Piercing Shot is the unique Psypher Skill available only for Mercedes
• She can charge her shots and release multiple homing projectiles to hit enemies.
• She can’t use items, skills or reload while flying
• Absorbing Phozons restore some ammo
In addition, Mercedes has low HP and defense compared to the other characters so you may
want to avoid getting damaged as much as possible. Since she can attack while flying, you can
quickly escape from ground forces and heal at a distance.
As usual, familiarize yourself with her controls and continue along the story.
Talk to everyone in the Ringford Palace; check out the shop (get the Spirit Stone to speed up
leveling up you Psypher). Exit when ready.

With Mercedes, the Manticores here are easy pickings. Three charge shots are enough to bring
them down. Just be careful with their poison attacks. Try to stock up with some antidotes as
well. If you see a swarm of enemies coming towards you, eliminate them by using Piercing Shot.
Once you reach the boss area, you will
encounter a short scene with a talking frog (the
very creatures Mercedes loves to hunt)
Though it may look like an eerie ‘Frog Prince’
cross over, this is actually a prelude to the boss
fight.
BOSS: Raging Dragon, BELIAL
Belial’s attack patterns are still the same. However, Mercedes will have a little advantage here
since she can stay afloat while attacking. Charge attacks works well against Belial; using Piercing
Shot is not bad either. As described in the previous strategies against this boss, avoid getting
gobbled up when he starts sucking wind. He will call forth metallic debris that can damage/ stun
you. Remember that Mercedes is not as tough as she looks since she has slightly lower defense
compared to the two warriors you have used before hand. But with proper control, she has the
highest damage potential.
Remember to stay away if you need to heal and reload. Take advantage of the easy level up
during lower levels. Mulberries can increase your level and recover ‘much’ HP at this point.
After the battle, watch the scenes. As usual,
check out the inventory in the shop. If you
want more storage, try to save your gold
until you can buy the Large Bag. It may take
a while but it is worth it.
Prep, once ready, exit the area and select

simply flying and using Charge shots. If you want to make it more painful, use Napalms or
Toxins. Remember to stay away when reloading. Make your way to the boss area. Make sure
you have a lot of recovery items as well.
TIP: Have a couple of bottles of Painkillers. Use Painkillers during boss battles to reduce the
damage dealt to Mercedes. Since she has low defense, you will find yourself healing too
often, which can cause you trouble if run out of recovery items.
BOSS: Oswald, The Shadow Knight
As you can see in the second image above, Oswald does transform into his Shadow Knight form.
While in this form, his attack and defense ratings are raised, not to mention his speed as well.
His reinforcements inc lude some fairies as well.
In his human form, Oswald uses recovery items to heal himself. The best way to attack him is by
using Charge shots in his human form. You can just fly and avoid his melee attacks but beware
while he is on Shadow knight form, he can use jump attacks.
Save your Piercing Shots as your finishing blows, preferably in his normal form to deal more
damage. If you have equipped a Saturn Bangle then you can deal more damage than
anticipated.
After the battle, watch the scenes, do some shopping and exit to the next stage. Note that you
can now visit the Pooka Village. Make sure to gain some levels. If you are short on ingredients,
just grab the basic dishes in the Café and the Restaurant.

Obviously, you should know that you will need
Warmers in this area to avoid losing too much
HP. The sub bosses can be easily attacked by
flying and attacking at a short distance.
Furthermore, you still need to watch out for
elementals and yetis. You may use Piercing Shot
to eliminate them all in a straight line.
BOSS: Raging Dragon, wagner
You should know Wagner’s attack patterns already. Again, you can fly to avoid his rush attacks
and step on his head and attack him from there. He will summon ice and fire spirits, which you
can avoid or destroy immediately. You can use Painkillers here so minimize the sustained
damage to your character.
Although tough as it may look, Mercedes’ bow packs enough punch to deal considerable
damage to Wagner on every hit. Also, use Piercing Shot instead of Phozon Burst. PS deals a lot
more damage compared to PB.
When reloading, as always, you should keep distance and attack again. Charge shots deal great
damage here as well but you can only fire 3 charge shots before reloading again.
After the battle, watch the scenes and
continue along with the story. I suggest
visiting the Pooka Village and gain a few more
levels to your advantage.
Check out the shops. If you have money, now
is the best time to buy Large Bags. Just avoid
spending your Ariel coins, Valentinian Gold
and Commemorative coins. They are used to
pay for the dishes at the Pooka Café and

You have conquered this stage already
while playing as Cornelius so you should
have the idea on how things work.
Like before, your normal enemies here are
the same. You don’t have to worry about
those bothersome oozes since Mercedes’
attack inflicts great damage against them.
For the Sorcerers, same tactics apply; you
may wait for them to summon those
floating swords or just simply use Piercing
shot in the very first time they appear.
Stock up with a lot of healing items (Healing Tonics, Praline Chocolates and Ginger Breads
recommended). It will be very helpful to have a good number of Napalms and/or Toxins.
BOSS: Beldor, the Sorcerer
This could be a difficult battle with those two
Axe Knights as his reinforcements. The best way
to damage Beldor is to eliminate those Axe
Knights. You need to be extra careful when
dealing with them; their jump attacks can hit
you even if you are airborne.
If possible, try to get them all in a straight line
and use Piercing Shot. Avoid using Phozon Burst
here since it deals lesser damage vs PS and
consumes two Psypher bars. Use Painkillers
here as much as you can; you will need them.
You may also use Napalms and Toxins to your
advantage.
Once you get those two Axe knights down, you
may now concentrate with Beldor. His attacks
are the same as the standard sorcerers you
have encountered on your way but he has the
ability to turn you into a frog. In this form, you
can still use the tongue attack but it is not
recommended since the risk of getting killed is
pretty high.
You can cancel his magic by attacking him. It may take a while if you do this since he keeps on
teleporting after getting hit once. You can also wait for him to summon floating swords in front
of him, attack the swords (using PS is better) to deflect them back to him, causing greater
damage.
After the battle, continue with the scenes as
usual. Shop, prepare and exit to the world map.

problem is still annoying as ever. The sub‐bosses in this stage are easy pickings with 2‐3 PS’s and
some charge shots. As you head to the last boss, the battle will be easy if your Psypher level is
at least LV5‐6 before facing Odette.

So watch the events that set the world to its
feet. The activation of the Cauldron, the rise of
the dead from the Netherworld, the Undead’s
successful invasion of Ragnanival, the death of
the Demon Lord and the march of the fire
creatures inland are one the few signs of the
impending Armageddon that awaits Erion.
The Six‐Eyed Beast
BOSS: Beast of Darkova
This is the same beast that you battled during
Velvet’s last stage. But now, aside from having
those fire attacks, they can also use Ice attacks,
create stone barricades, and use Poison attacks.
Make sure that you have some Antidotes and a
lot of healing items for this battle. From time to
time, the beast will create stone pillars to block
your path. Attack those to destroy them. You
can also get two phozons from them.
Expect the same fire attacks from the boss. One
of the new attacks is a poison cloud. When you
see the air above turn violet, do not jump! Wait
for it to subside, unless you have a Detox Charm
equipped.
Also, the boss can create an Ice Pillar and can
freeze the ground also. Stepping on the frozen
ground won’t damage you but it is too slippery
that you will simply slide off. The ice pillar can
deal continuous damage if you get pinned there
while helplessly sliding off from the frozen
ground.
Use your air combos and Phozon Burst while in
the middle of all the 3 heads. Concentrate on
taking out one head at a time. If you have
Painkiller and Regeneration both active, then
you can remain aggressive in this battle. Just be
careful of the attacks mentioned above and you
should be fine.
Lord of the Netherworld
BOSS: Gallon, King of the
Netherworld
Meet the original three‐headed beast that used
the power of Darkova. You should do fine as
long as you have a good supply o f healing
items. Like the first boss, you need to destroy
each of the heads.
His common attack is when he shakes some
debris from his body, which deals small but
continuous damage if you don’t move away.
Also, he can stretch his tongues and target you.
After a while, he will burrow his head to the
ground and attack you with his head. From time
to time, he will also summon a Halja (which you
can’t attack, by the way). You can evade this by
double jumping out to safety.
If ever you get caught between his necks, stay
away from it while it is moving. Once it stops, you can jump out to safety. Use air combos here
as usual. Remember that you can step over his heads and attack there.
When near death, he will open his chest, revealing a stone/heart for a short time. You need to
destroy it before his chest closes again. If you failed to destroy it in time, his HP will recover, but
not full. You will repeat the process again until you defeat him.
Incantation of Fire
BOSS: Inferno King Onyx
This boss could be the hardest yet. He has a
high defense, not to mention that his attacks
are damaging as well. His rush attack leaves you
with no space to evade at all. Since evading
most of his attacks are almost not possible, you
should do it the noob’s way. Take damage while
attacking like crazy. Surprisingly, it is effective.
First, you should have a lot of healing items in
stock. If you are using low DEF characters like
Mercedes and Velvet, consider using Painkillers
first. Having Regeneration and Unlimited Power active can also save you a lot of trouble
attacking this boss up front. Just attack, heal and attack.
The Cauldron
BOSS: The Cauldron
The only way to defeat this boss is to attack the
eye located in the top. Now, getting there can
be a bit tricky, especially if it starts to move.
Step on the gray pipes to reach the top level.
Double‐jumping is enough to traverse from pipe
to pipe.
For the first part of the battle, the Cauldron will
stay in the ground, while sending its snake‐like
tentacles to attack you from the sand. Make
your way to the top and attack the eye. Having
Unlimited Power active here can save you at lot of time and will enable you deal continuous
damage without recharging. Make sure that you watch out for the messages on the screen; if
you see the eye absorbing phozons, you can actually absorb some yourself. But when everything
brightens and the message to stay away from the Cauldron appears, quickly get off and go at a
distance. The eye will release a very powerful attack (at LV47, it dealt about 900+ damage) After
the attack, you can make your way back to the top again.
After a short while, the Cauldron will stand up and walk. Avoid getting underneath it since its
feet can crush you. Make your way to the top; be careful of the steams since it can eat up a
large amount of HP if you don’t move quickly. Once you reach the top, the eye will deploy
several protective limbs that can attack you. Get rid of them quickly or you will be thrown off if
they hit you. Use Phozon Burst while in their midst will surely take care of them all at once,
while dealing damage to the eye at the same time.
After a few attacks, the eye will somehow be
‘stunned’. When that happens, the Cauldron
will fall to the ground. Now the eye will be open
for some attacks before it recovers. Once it
recovers, it will deploy the same protective
limbs. Repeat the process or if you are short in
Phozons to use any skill, you can just jump and
use air combos to avoid getting hit by the limbs
while dealing damage to them as well. Repeat
the process to defeat the boss. It has a very high
HP so it may take a while. It is also possible to
stay on top and repeat the pattern against the eye.
Last Dragon
BOSS: Levanthan, the Last Dragon
This could remind you of the famous Snake
Road in the anime, Dragon Ball Z. Anyways, who
would think that the small baby dragon you
keep on defeating in the previous books, can
grow this enormously large?
You will start off in the lower level. You need to
work your way to the top, to Levanthan’s head.
As you make your way up, lightning orbs and
strikes will try to stop you. For lightning strikes,
you can anticipate where they will hit since you
will see a white line in the screen, few seconds
before they strike. For the orbs, it is tricky to
evade them but they don’t deal that much
damage anyway.
From time to time also, Levanthan will lower his
head and attack you with his ever powerful
blast. You can just use air combos then avoid
the blast altogether. If you made your way to
the top, immediately use Overload and
Unlimited Pow. After that, attack like crazy.
Compared to the past bosses, this one is a
giveaway.
After the battle, you will now be able to unlock the last book, Wheel of Fate. (This will be
delivered to Alice’s attic by Cornelius and Velvet, by the way) Read it to view the true ending.
Wheel of Fate
Nothing much to put here but some screenshots from the book.
And the foreign merchant for Bombay has some cameo appearance too.
