The motor cortex of the brain is responsible for controlling the movements
of our hands. A quarter of the surface of the cerebral cortex is dedicated
exclusively to our hands.
LAS MANOS
The skin that covers the palm of our hands is very different from the rest of
the body: it does not tan or change color; there are unique fingerprints on
the fingers; It is thicker, but at the same time very sensitive, and is anchored
to the bones through the middle part of the fascia.
The human hand is composed of bones, muscles and tendons. The bones of
the hand are 27 and are divided into carpal (8), metacarpal (5) and
phalangeal (14). To keep everything together, the hand has 29 joints and
123 ligaments.
MOVEMENT OF FINGERS.
It is impossible to move only one finger at a time, since they are all connected
physically and neurally. No matter how hard you try, you will always notice
that one finger makes a small movement when trying to use the other, which
is more evident in certain fingers. It is also impossible that you do not try to
move a finger when reading this.
GENETIC MALFORMATIONS
One in six birth defects are in the hands, especially those with fused fingers
or lack of any of them. People can be born with more than 5 fingers, which
is more common in black people.
LA COLUMNA VERTEBRAL
The skeleton of an adult has a total of 206 different bones, 32 teeth and a
complete series of other structures that connect each of them to each other.
The adult human skeleton has 206 bones, but in reality we are born with a
total of between 270 and up to 300 bones. What happens is that as the body
grows and approaches adulthood, several bones begin to fuse with one
another.
LA COLUMNA VERTEBRAL
It is interesting to mention that more than 120 muscles are found in the
spine, as well as 100 joints and approximately 220 individual ligaments.
These ligaments are very important since they are those that keep the
vertebrae interconnected, which in turn keep the spine in position, as well
as providing protection to the nerves within the spinal cord.
LA COLUMNA VERTEBRAL
Because the force of gravity compresses the cartilage, we are taller in the
morning than at night (about two centimeters)
