Choreography

2018: Andrew Jackson High School Spring Showcase. May 10. Choreographed several
pieces performed by students at AJHS in their spring showcase. Works included jazz,
lyrical, and contemporary.

“Farther”. March 17-18. Choreographed to be performed at the Loose Leaves Showcase


in Charlotte as a solo, this work was a lyrical piece expressing the feelings cancer can
leave, drawing from personal experience and observation.
2016: “of infinite form”. December 2-3. An exploration of the rise and/or fall of significant
historical religions including Ancient Egyptian, Hinduism, Christianity, and Judaism.

F..A…D…E…... . April 22-23. Taken from personal experience, exploring the external
effect of a coma on the family and the internal struggle of the person experiencing
the coma.

2015: Claerwen erbyn Cethin. This work explores relationships between people that are bad
and good for both individual involved.

Research

2016: Appropriation of Indian Culture Through Modern Dance. Research paper studying
the ways in which Katherine Dunham, Ruth St. Denis, and Isadora Duncan gave rise
to appropriation, and sometimes malignant alteration, of cultures and their dance forms.

2015: Pervasiveness of Indian Dance. Research paper discussing the pervasiveness of Indian
dance in modern dance forms. This also tracks some bipedal hominid evolution and the
development of movement from early humans.

Performances

2017: Cunningham Showing- Mini Event. Performed as part of the Modern IV coursework at
Winthrop University, drew directly from works staged by Merce Cunningham and was
set by Ms. Sandra Neels.
Untitled. Performed at Johnson Theatre as a part of the Bodiography Residency
Performance.Choreographed by Maria Caruso, Artistic Director of Bodiography
Contemporary Ballet.
Broken Code. Performed as a showing following a residency of Rebecca Bryant and
with Winthrop Dance Repertory Theatre. Choreographed by Rebecca Bryant; directed by
Kelly Ozust.
Winthrop Dance Repertory Theatre. This touring group from Winthrop University
presentsmultiple dances to schools in the area local to Rock Hill. During this season, we
learned a lyrical, musical theatre, ballet, and post-modern work. Directed by Kelly Ozust
2016: C’est. Performed at Johnson Theatre in Winthrop Dance Theatre. Choreographed by
Stacy McConnell.
Miles Away. Performed as part of Loose Leaves Showcase in Duke Energy Theatre.
Choreographed by Savannah Schoenborn; personally assisted in Choreography.
2015: Universe Within. Performed at Johnson Theatre in Winthrop Dance Theatre.

#PayAttention. Performed at Johnson Theatre in Senior Choreography Showcase.

Seven. Performed in Johnson Studio at Winthrop as part of Savannah Schoenborn’s
senior Meraki Student Production. Choreographed by Savannah Schoenborn with
personal assistance and assistance with student Jessica McFarland.
Take the Stand II. A series of works presented in Rock Hill’s Historic Courthouse,
peformed as an improvisational work.
2014: Winthrop Dance Repertory Theatre. This touring group travels to schools in the Rock
Hill local area. During this season, we performed a modern, improvisation, and jazz
piece, as well as a traditional Western African dance, Muchongoyo Zhingili.
Rapid Movements in Color. Performed at Johnson Theatre in Junior Choreography
Showcase. Choreographed by Savannah Schoenborn.
Per Severence. Performed at Johnson Theatre in Junior Choreography Showcase.

No One Fights Alone. Performed at Johnson Theatre in Winthrop Dance Theatre.

Take the Stand. A series of works presented in Rock Hill’s Historic Courthouse. Part of

Professional Training
2017: Bodiography Residency. Artistic Director of Bodiography Contemporary Ballet Maria
Caruso and her company stayed in residency at Winthrop University, teaching master
classes and choreography to the students at Winthrop Univesity. Participated in
multiple classes as well as the auditioned work performed at the end of the week.
2016: Slap That Bass Repertory. Drawing from the Off-Broadway show, worked on the song
Slap That Bass. Led by Katerina Popacostas.
Inversion Workshop. Using Yoga and Bartinieff Fundamentals, the class focused on
how to suspend an inversion on hands, elbows, and shoulders. Led by Ashlee
Ramsey.
Salt Repertory. Drawing on Salt from Lines Ballet. Led by Mia Cunningham.
Ballet Technique. Led by Anthony “Javier” Savoy from Harlem Ballet Theatre.

Service and Involvement


2017: Sigma Alpha Epsilon Helping Hands. Assisted in raising $2,000 for a family in need
through the South Carolina Sigma Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s philanthropy
Helping Hands.
2016: Sigma Alpha Epsilon SC Sigma Chartering. One of five members who organized and
planned the re-chartering of Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s SC Sigma Chapter.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon Paddy Murphy. Planned and scheduled the events for Sigma
Alpha Epsilon’s Paddy Murphy Week on Winthrop University’s Campus.
2014: Winthrop University High School Media Day. Assisted Ms. Sarah Fetner and Ms.
Mackinsey Shahan in contemporary ballet.
2013: Winthrop University High School Media Day. On this day held in the fall, students
from local schools come to Winthrop University and take classes in Theatre, Dance,
and Media Communication. Assisted Dr. Andrew Vorder Breugge in teaching Early
English Dance, Ms. Meg Schriffen in Jazz, and Ms. Sandra Neels in Modern.
