API CK-4 and FA-4 v. API CJ-4

The new API CK-4 and FA-4 split category for heavy duty diesel engine oils has been brought in to
meet the challenges of modern engine designs and deliver even greater fuel economy. This new
category demands higher performance in key areas such as shear stability, oxidation and aeration
control, requiring a much tougher oil. API CK-4 oils are fully backwards compatible, while API FA-4
oils will offer even better fuel economy with similar performance for advanced engines only.
